Roy Van Horn (1940) was a standout football player who played on the undefeated 1939 team. He was also instrumental in the formation of the NKT Scholarship Fund.
 
After graduating from The Rock, Van Horn accepted a job at Titusville High School as a science teacher as well as the assistant coach of the football and basketball teams. Van Horn then briefly served in the U.S. Navy. After being discharged, he returned to Titusville to teach physical education and assume the role of head football coach and assistant basketball coach. Van Horn also started wrestling and track teams at Titusville.
 
Van Horn has also been inducted into the Aspinwall Hall of Fame and the Titusville Hall of Fame.
