Jim Egli coached The Rock men's soccer team for over 30 seasons and guided the swimming program for 15 seasons. He led the 1985 Rock soccer team to the PSAC-Western Division championship, the fifth such title won by an Egli-coached squad. Known as "The Father of NAIA Soccer,: Egli was the first man inducted into the NAIA Soccer Hall of Fame in the Meritorious Service category in 1965. He was chosen as the NAIA national Coach of the Year in 1973.
