Nancy Olson (1979) was ranked among the top International Wheelchair Tennis Federation players and won a silver medal in doubles at the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta. As a student at SRU, Olson was active in club and intramural sports including volleyball, softball, basketball and flag football. She was also involved in the SRU adaptive physical education program for the physically and mentally challenged. She lost both of her legs in an automobile accident in 1983.
