Sal Agostinelli (1983) was a member of the Slippery Rock University Baseball team from 1980-1983.
During his playing days, Agostinelli was a three-time All-PSAC selection.
In 93 games, Agostinelli batted .382 in 293 at-bats. He drove in 74 runs, while scoring 73 runs and hitting three home runs. He also had 34 stolen bases.

th in stolen bases (34), and also threw out the most runners in Rock baseball history (30).
In 1982, Agostinelli helped his team to a PSAC Championship while also finding his way into the single season record books for batting average ranking 18
th (.417), tenth in on-base percentage (.500), and tied for sixth in stolen bases (25).
After graduating in 1983, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals. He played six seasons with St. Louis before being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 1989. He spent two more years playing Triple-A baseball for the Phillies. He then became a coach and a scout in the Phillies organization.
