Juanita Vetter (1984) earned four All-America honors, qualified for seven national championship competitions and recorded five SRU individual-event records and a share of two relay records as a member of The Rock's cross country and track and field programs.

At the time of her graduation in 1984, Vetter was the standard bearer in the 1,500-meter, 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter runs in outdoor track and field; the 1,500-meter and 3,000-meter runs indoors and was on the record-setting 4x800-meter relay teams both indoors and outdoors.

On the national level, Vetter was a member of the runner-up 3,200-meter relay team and placed third in the 1,500-meter run at the 1982 NCAA Division II outdoor track and field meet. She also finished 11th at the 1981 NCAA Division III cross country national championships and was 19th at the 1983 Division II national meet.

A four-time national outdoor track and field qualifier and three-time national cross country qualifier, Vetter helped the 1982 Rock women's track and field team capture national runner-up honors. She also was an important part of The Rock's 1981 cross country regional championship and fourth-place national team and the 1980 cross country team that placed seventh in national competition.

Vetter won a pair of PSAC individual titles at both the 1982 and 1983 conference outdoor track and field championship after claiming a pair of runner-up honors and a fifth-place finish as a freshman. She earned three All-Eastern honors in cross country.
