Bob Raymond served as SRU's athletic director from 1965-79. He was also a professor of health and physical education at SRU, as well as a past president of the Massachusetts State Athletic Directors organization and secretary of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors organization.

Raymond also coached the golf team for 11 seasons. He compiled a 117-38-2 record as The Rock's golf coach. He coached 14 student athletes who earned All-America honors and led his last team to an NCAA Division III national runner-up team in 1979.

A former NAIA and NCAA Coach of the Year, Dr. Raymond earned the prestigious title of Professor Emeritus shortly after his retirement.
