Joseph Walters is currently the head men's tennis coach, associate athletic director for compliance and facilities and associate professor at Grove City College.
He lettered three seasons as a defensive tackle and punter for The Rock football team and was the team's MVP in 1967.
After graduating from Slippery Rock, he spent two years in the United States Army Honor Guard in Washington, D.C., and taught elementary school in Sterling Park, Va., before joining the GCC staff in 1972.
Walters has compiled a 305-114 record in 31 seasons as men's tennis coach at GCC and led the Wolverines to 17 successive Presidents Athletic Conference championships. He also served as the football team's defensive coordinator from 1973-97
