Deb Feather lettered four seasons in softball and one season in field hockey at Slippery Rock. She closed out her collegiate career by compiling a miniscule a 0.46 earned run average as a pitcher and hitting .519 as a batter in her senior season.

She was a team captain in her final collegiate campaign and helped lead The Rock, coached by 1988 SRU Hall of Fame inductee Jan Kasnevich, to a pair of national tournament appearances.

Following graduation, Feather earned Amateur Softball Association (ASA) fastpitch All-America honors and won the national home run championship in 1994.

For the past 22 years, Feather has been employed as a health and physical education instructor at Octorara High School, where she served 11 seasons as softball coach and five seasons as volleyball coach. She currently coaches the middle school track and field team and archery club.

Feather is a native of Abington and currently resides in Manheim, Pa.
