Mark Seybert (1979) won the NCAA Division III national championship in three-meter diving as a senior to culminate an illustrious swimming and diving career at The Rock.

The national title earned Seybert his fourth All-America honor in three seasons. He earned three citations as a diver and one as a member of a freestyle relay team.

Following graduation from SRU, Seybert moved to the west and was an elementary school teacher in Colorado, Nevada and Utah.

Seybert was killed December 5, 1998, in a four-wheeling accident in Utah - "doing what he loved to do," in the words of his widow, Tricia Seybert.
