Slippery Rock University Athletics

Loyal Briggs (1938) never put on a football uniform until he came to The Rock, but he ended up becoming a four-year letterwinner on teams coached by the legendary N. Kerr Thompson. He was also outstanding in track and field, as he was a two-year letterwinner while running the 100 220 and 440 relays.
