SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University indoor track & field teams will compete at two different meets this weekend with a group of athletes competing Friday and Saturday at Youngstown State and another group competing Saturday at Mount Union.

Slippery Rock will send its pole vaulters, multi-event athletes and select distance runners to compete at Youngstown State with SRU only competing in the 5,000-meter run and the distance medley relay on the track. A full list of the 33 athletes heading to YSU is available below.

LAST WEEK RECAP
Slippery Rock sent more than 80 athletes to Ashland University last weekend and came away with 35 PSAC qualifying marks, four NCAA provisional marks and three event wins.
 
The men's team was highlighted by NCAA provisional marks in the pole vault by Drew Layton, the weight throw by Zach Gose, the shot put by Seaton Wozniak and the 60-meter hurdles by Matthew Crow. Full men's recap and results HERE.
 
The Rock women were highlighted by wins from Jianna Long in the 400-meter dash and Ruthie Hughes in the 5,000-meter run. Full women's recap and results HERE.

UP NEXT
Slippery Rock is scheduled to travel its farthest distance of the season and compete next Saturday at the Mike Lints Alumni Open hosted by Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.
