Anderson named PSAC Male Field Athlete of the Year

Slippery Rock multi-event standout Logan Anderson was named the PSAC Male Field Athlete of the Year when the conference announced its indoor track & field major award winners Wednesday.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University multi-event standout Logan Anderson was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Male Field Athlete of the Year when the league announced its indoor track & field major awards Wednesday.

Anderson, a sophomore from Edinboro, Pennsylvania, picks up his second Athlete of the Year award from the indoor season after also being named the Atlantic Region Male Field Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The honors come after a breakout indoor season that saw him win the first PSAC title of his career and pick up the first All-America award of his career as well.

He broke the SRU and all-time PSAC records in the heptathlon on the way to winning the conference title with an adjusted score of 5,323 points. Two weeks later, he nearly matched that same score with a mark of 5,314 points at the National Championships. That effort landed him a seventh place finish at nationals and a first team All-America honor.

Anderson now owns the top three heptathlon scores in SRU history, all from this winter, and the top two scores in PSAC history with his marks from the conference meet and the national meet.

This is the second PSAC indoor major award earned by Anderson after he was also named the PSAC Freshman of the Year following his freshman season in 2024-25.
