Anderson, Wozniak named to PSAC Winter Top 10

Slippery Rock track & field standouts Logan Anderson and Seaton Wozniak were named to the PSAC Winter Top 10 team in recognition of their academic and athletic excellence after they both won PSAC titles and earned All-America honors this winter.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University men's track & field standouts Logan Anderson and Seaton Wozniak were named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Winter Top 10 team when the league announced its winter academic honorees Wednesday.

The PSAC selects five men and five women during each season of the year for a Fall, Winter and Spring Top 10 team that recognizes excellence in both academics and athletics. In order to be nominated, student-athletes must be at least sophomores in academic and athletic standing, must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above and must have significant athletic credentials. The award is nominated for and voted on by the league's athletic communication professionals. Since the inception of the Top 10 program in 1994, Slippery Rock leads all institutions in the PSAC with 94 honorees (all-time SRU list here).

Anderson and Wozniak and both first-time PSAC Top 10 honorees after an indoor track & field season that saw them both win individual PSAC titles and earn All-America honors at the national level.

Anderson, a sophomore from Edinboro, Pennsylvania, was named the PSAC and Atlantic Region Male Field Athlete of the Year after having a breakout season in the heptathlon. He won the first conference title of his career and set the all-time PSAC record in the event in the process with a score of 5,323 points. Two weeks later, he nearly matched that same score with a mark of 5,314 points to place seventh at the National Championships and earn first team All-America honors. In total, he broke the SRU record in the event three times this winter and finished his season with the top two marks in PSAC history.

In addition to his athletic excellence, Anderson also maintains a 3.87 GPA while majoring in safety management. He will be a two-time USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree after this year and a two-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete.

Wozniak, a senior from Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, also claimed the first PSAC title of his career this winter when he won the shot put with a new SRU record throw of 18.40 meters at the conference championships. He set and broke his own record three times this winter before placing 14th in the event at the National Championships to earn second team All-America honors. It marked the second All-America honor of his career after placing 10th at the outdoor national meet last spring.

In addition to his performance in the shot put circle, Wozniak is also among the best overall students at SRU. He has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA after more than 100 credit hours in the business management program at The Rock. Wozniak is already a two-time Academic All-American and will close his career this spring as a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree and a four-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete.

Anderson and Wozniak join women's cross country runner Jennifer Cichra and football player Michael Henwood from the fall to give The Rock a total of four PSAC Top 10 honorees so far in 2025-26.
