NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Savannah Schneck won the hammer throw to lead the Slippery Rock University women's track & field team to six Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks at the Westminster Invitational that wrapped up Saturday evening from Westminster College.
 
The Rock sent a limited roster to Westminster this weekend while also sending athletes to compete at Susquehanna and Bucknell. The Susquehanna Multi Meet ended Friday night (recap HERE), while the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell will go deep into the evening Saturday before finishing Sunday evening (live results HERE).
 
Schneck led the way for The Rock women at the Westminster meet by winning the hammer throw with a PSAC qualifying mark of 51.98 meters. She was joined in the event by Sydney Hale, who took fourth with a PSAC mark of 47.18 meters. Slippery Rock actually hosted the hammer event Friday as part of the two-day meet.
 
The Rock got four more PSAC marks from the Westminster meet with all four coming in the field and three more coming in the throws.
 
Reese Skiba took second in the discus throw with a mark of 38.52 meters and both Haley Domagala and Becca Martin met the PSAC standard in the shot put. Domagala took second with a toss of 12.54 meters and Martin was third with a mark of 12.00 meters.
 
The final PSAC qualifying effort from Westminster came from pole vaulter Allie Taylor, who placed third with a clearance of 3.56 meters.
