SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's track & field and cross country teams placed six student-athletes on the Academic All-District Team when the College Sports Communicators announced the 2025-26 Academic All-District Track & Field and Cross Country teams Tuesday.
Â
The Rock are represented on the team by
Isabella Bartoletti,
Baylee Blauser,
Jennifer Cichra,
Savannah Schneck,
Allie Taylor and
Autumn Wyatt. Bartoletti and Cichra become two-time honorees, while the other four selections earn their first Academic All-District honor.
Â
In order to be nominated for the Academic All-America program and selected to an Academic All-District team, student-athletes must be at least sophomores in academic and athletic standing, must finish in the top 50 of a regional cross country championship or rank in the top 50 in the region in an individual track & field event, and should have significant athletic credentials, such as All-Conference, All-Region or All-America.
Â
Each school in the country can nominate a total of six women from the combined sports of cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field to be placed on the Academic All-District team. A national committee then decides which student-athletes advance to the ballot for the Academic All-America team.
Â
Cichra was the lone SRU athlete to advance to the Academic All-America ballot. She is looking to become a two-time Academic All-American after earning third team honors in 2024-25. Â

She finished her undergraduate degree with a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in computing, passing an incredible 174 credit hours in just four years with no grades lower than an A. She earned numerous honors, both regionally and nationally, for her academic excellence in the engineering field. In addition to those academic honors, Cichra was also among the top distance runners in the region. She excelled in the fall cross country season, where she earned first team All-PSAC and All-Region honors in 2025 with the highest finishes of her career at the PSAC and NCAA Atlantic Region Championships. She improved her finish place in each of those championships in all four years of her career, climbing to eighth in the PSAC and 13th in the region this fall. She also ranked 19th in the region in the 800-meter run indoor.

SAVANNAH SCHNECK
Schneck returned to action this spring after missing the 2025 outdoor season and the 2025-26 indoor season while recovering from an injury. She picked up right where she left off, winning the PSAC title in the shot put with an NCAA provisional mark and career-best throw of 14.02 meters. She also took fifth in the hammer throw at the PSAC meet to help SRU to the team title.
