SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's track & field team won its second straight and 19th overall outdoor title at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships that wrapped up Saturday from Shippensburg University.

The Rock completed the annual sweep after also winning the team title at the PSAC Indoor Meet earlier this semester and claimed their PSAC-leading 19th overall outdoor title after scoring 146.5 points to win by more than 40 points. West Chester took second with 106 points, narrowly edging California (Pa.) in third with 102 points. Shippensburg was fourth with 97 points as just nine points separated second and fourth place. Millersville rounded out the top five with 73 points.

"I am so proud of our athletes and coaching staff for the way they prepared and executed this weekend," said head coach Bill Jordan. "We outscored our projections by a good margin in a lot of events and got contributions from so many athletes. It was a true team effort across all 21 events this weekend. It's hard to win these things and our whole team goes above and beyond to achieve results like this."

Slippery Rock picked up six more All-PSAC honors and one more individual champion Saturday after also having Autumn Wyatt claim the heptathlon title Friday.

The victory Saturday marked a triumphant return from injury for thrower Savannah Schneck, who took first place in the shot put with a career-best and NCAA provisional throw of 14.02 meters. Schneck won the 2025 indoor title in the shot put, but was injured in that same meet and missed the entire 2025 outdoor and 2025-26 indoor seasons while recovering from surgery. She led SRU to a whopping 26 points in the shot put Saturday to put a stamp on the team win.

Olivia Heckman also recorded a career-best and NCAA mark to place second with a throw of 13.97 meters. Haley Domagala took fourth with a toss of 13.22 meters and Becca Martin was sixth with a throw of 12.80 meters.

SRU also got an All-PSAC finish in the javelin from senior Isabella Bartoletti, who recorded an NCAA provisional mark of 43.57 meters to place second and pick up eight points.

Freshman Tayla Kurzawa capped an impressive first year at SRU by earning All-PSAC honors in the triple jump and placing in the high jump Saturday, after she also scored in the long jump Friday. Kurzawa took third in the triple jump with a career-best leap of 11.97 meters to lead SRU to 13 points in the event. Baylee Blauser was fourth at 11.92 meters and Alice Bogia took seventh at 11.62 meters. Kurzawa was also sixth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.67 meters.

Freshman Ondrea Young led the way on the track with a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles to earn her first All-PSAC honor. She clocked a time of 14.48 seconds to grab eight points for the team. SRU also scored eight points in the 400-meter hurdles with Evabella Cox placing fourth in 1:02.94 and Madison Smalheer placing sixth in 1:04.27.

Grace Lennon placed fourth in the 100-meter dash in 12.22 seconds and Lydia Reed was seventh in the 400-metrer dash in 57.89 seconds. Lennon and Reed teamed with Kamryn Ross and Ava Reagle to place third in the 4x100-meter relay in 47.42 seconds and Reed teamed with Shannon McCullough, Annasophia Stauffer and Reagle to place sixth in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:54.89.

The final points of the day Saturday came from Carissa Flynn in the 5,000-meter run after she placed fourth in 17:35.17. Flynn also scored Thursday night in the 10,000-meter run to tally points in both distance races.

Saturday marked the final day of the season for much of the SRU roster. A select group of athletes are scheduled to compete next weekend at Baldwin Wallace for a Last Chance Meet and those athletes with NCAA qualifying marks will learn if they have been accepted to compete at the National Championships when the fields are announced May 12.
