BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Allie Taylor won the pole vault title to lead the Slippery Rock University women's track & field team into first place at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Indoor Championships after the first of two days of competition wrapped up Saturday from Rauch Fieldhouse at Lehigh University.

SRU is expected to see a significant challenge for the team title Sunday with multiple teams in the mix.

She led for most of the competition until one final attempt came in at 5.88 meters. Tayla Kurzawa scored in her PSAC debut with a sixth place finish and a leap of 5.63 meters to give SRU 11 points in the long jump.

The Rock scored in all six events that went final Saturday. In addition to the six event finals Saturday, four qualifying prelims were hosted on the track to set up Sunday's final fields. The Rock qualified at least one athlete through in three of those four prelims.

Ondrea Young led the way with a career-best time of 8.86 seconds to post the third-best prelim time in the 60-meter hurdles.
