SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University track & field teams will compete at three different meets over a stretch of four days this week with athletes competing at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia Thursday and Friday, at Shippensburg University Friday and Saturday and at Ashland University Saturday.

PENN RELAYS OUTLOOK
Slippery Rock will send just eight total athletes to compete at the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field with seven throwers and distance runner
Anna Igims representing SRU. Igims will be the lone athlete to compete Thursday when she races in the championship section of the steeplechase at 7:05 p.m. She enters the meet ranked No. 5 in Division II this year with her SRU record time of 10:19.02. The women's team will also be represented by shot putters
Sarah Corrie and
Becca Martin and javelin thrower
Isabella Bartoletti Friday. Corrie and Martin rank No. 1 and No. 2 in the PSAC in the shot put with Corrie ranked No. 15 in Division II (14.50 meters). Bartoletti enters the weekend ranked No. 29 in Division II in the javelin (42.65m). The men's team will see four throwers in action Friday with shot putters
Seaton Wozniak and
Joshua Gose throwing at 3 p.m. and javelin throwers
Josh Kingerski and
Joseph Reed throwing at 1:45 p.m. All four men have NCAA provisional marks this spring. Wozniak ranks No. 10 in Division II in the shot put (17.82m) as the highest ranked SRU male athlete nationally.

SHIPPENSBURG MEET OUTLOOK
Slippery Rock will send the majority of its multi-event athletes, jumpers, distance runners and throwers to Shippensburg to compete Friday and Saturday with the hammer throw and 10,000-meter run taking place Friday and all other events happening Saturday. Headliners for the men's team include hammer thrower
Zach Gose, who recorded a career-best and NCAA mark last week that ranks No. 18 among all throwers in Division II this spring. Other top athletes in the field include the pole vault group of
Drew Layton,
Dan Hyatt,
Logan Gossard and
Andy Huynh and triple jumper
Ian James. Multi-event standouts
Logan Anderson and
Zack Duda will compete in mixed events. Top athletes on the track include steeplechaser
John Juszynski, who ranks first in the PSAC this spring, and distance runner
Troy Hart. The women's team will be led at Shippensburg by sprinter
Samantha Gilbert, who is the lone sprinter heading to Shippensburg. Gilbert is the SRU record holder in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. Other top entries on the track include distance runners

Slippery Rock will send most of its sprinters and hurdlers to compete at Ashland Saturday. On the men's side, that group includes headliner

Owen Rindler in the hurdles. The women's group will be led by
