LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock lost a home PSAC West game to Seton Hill, 98-71, on Senior Day Feb. 21 at Morrow Field House.
Slippery Rock compiled its second-best shooting percentage of the year, making 29-of-60 attempts (.483). The Rock also finished the game shooting 22.7 percent (5-for-22) from the 3-point line and 57.1 percent (8-of-14) from the charity stripe. Defensively, SRU garnered 12 steals which is its second-highest total in a game this year as well.
However, Seton Hill shot 52.2 percent (36-of-69) from the floor overall, 44.8 percent (13-of-29) from 3-point range and 72.2 percent (13-of-18) at the foul line while holding a +12 (41-29) rebounding margin.
RACE TO THE PSAC TOURNAMENT
The top six teams in the PSAC East and PSAC West standings at the end of the regular season qualify for the PSAC Tournament. The first and second seeds in the standings earn first-round byes and a home game in the quarterfinal round while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds are guaranteed home games in the first round.
• Eight of the 12 spots in the PSAC Tournament have already been clinched. In the Western Division, Indiana University (Pa.), Gannon University, Seton Hill University and Edinboro have already clinched spots, while Lock Haven University, Kutztown University, East Stroudsburg University and Bloomsburg University have clinched a spot from the Eastern Division.
• The top four teams in the PSAC West standings have clinched spots in the PSAC Tournament, but are still fighting for seeding. Indiana and Gannon enter the final week of the regular season atop the division with a chance to win the division. IUP leads the PSAC West with a 17-1 league record and Gannon sits in second with a 16-2 PSAC mark. Seton Hill (13-5) and Edinboro (13-5) sit comfortably in third and fourth place, respectively. The Griffins and the Fighting Scots are battling for the third seed as both teams cannot reach Gannon or IUP for the second seed, but they also cannot be caught by the remaining field in the PSAC West.
• The remaining four teams are separated by just two games as Clarion (7-11) and California (Pa.) (7-11) head into their respective contests occupying the fifth and sixth spots in the PSAC West.
• Pitt-Johnstown (6-12) trails the Golden Eagles and the Vulcans by just one game with two matchups left in the regular season. The Mountain Cats have one game against Clarion and have already played Cal twice this year.
• Slippery Rock (5-13) sits in seventh in the PSAC West, but is still in playoff contention with two games left. To make the PSAC Tournament, Slippery Rock needs to win its final two games and get some outside help. SRU needs Clarion and California to lose their final two games and for Pitt-Johnstown to defeat Clarion, but fall to Seton Hill. This outcome would result in all four team's finishing with seven PSAC wins. The tiebreakers would hand UPJ the fifth seed and SRU the sixth seed.
SINGLE-SEASON RECORDS
Alyssa Gillin is closing in on the record for the most blocks in a single season by a Slippery Rock senior. Gillin stands with 41 blocks with two games to go in the regular season. The forward is chasing Tracy Whitling's record of 42 blocks that she set in the 2000-01 season. Gillin also sits third on the single-season blocks list SRU history. The senior is one block behind Whitling for second and 14 rejections behind Christy Wessell (1992-93), who blocked 55 shots in her junior season.
As a team, SRU has blocked 91 shots this season, matching its output from last year, which is the fourth most shots a Slippery Rock team has blocked all-time.
FRESHMAN PHENOM
In 24 starts,
Iyanna Wade has produced per game averages of 14.0 points, 4.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds. She has dished out at least five assists in a game on 13 occasions and has facilitated five or more assists in six of her last 12 games.
Wade, who has 72 assists in conference play so far, is ranked among the top freshmen in all of Division II in scoring and distributing. Only three first-year players in DII are averaging more assists per game than Wade. Among all levels of the NCAA, there are only nine freshmen that produce more assists per game than SRU's rookie phenom.

The junior has scored 108 points total in her last 11 appearances, averaging 9.8 ppg in that span, including a career- high 17 points against California (Pa.). Haggerty had made six straight starts before coming off the bench against Seton Hill.
LEADER FROM LONG RANGE
Along with Gillin,
Sophia Hook has been the driving force behind The Rock's success from 3-point range. The junior guard has connected on 34.2 percent (39-of-114) of her 3-point attempts this season. She enters Wednesday ranked 10th in 3-pointers made per game (1.6) in the PSAC. Hook has surpassed her career-high in made 3-pointers (33) that she set a season ago, with 39 makes from long range.
In 23 starts this season, the PSAC's eighth ranked player in minutes
played has averaged 10.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.1 assists per game. The junior is shooting 39.1 percent from the field overall along with her .342 mark from 3-point range.
ONE OF A KIND
While typically not the highest scoring player on the court,
Kayley Joseph-Bernard always finds multiple ways to impact the game. The senior is averaging 8.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.
Joseph-Bernard is the only Division II athlete to average at least 8.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game. The senior forward also sits seventh on Division II's in single-game blocks list with her seven-block game against Glenville State University.
SETTING RECORDS
Joseph-Bernard and Gillin have combined for 75 blocks this season to help The Rock up to sixth on the PSAC's block rankings with 3.9 per game. The duo has also been prolific shot blockers over their careers as Gillin is sixth in program history in career blocks with 66, while Joseph-Bernard ranks sixth with 62 rejections. Joseph-Bernard and Gillin are just the third pair of Rock teammates with each holding at least 60 career blocks to be active at the same time. If Gillin and Joseph-Bernard were to reach the 70 career block mark by the end of the season, they would be the first pair of Rock teammates to be active with 70 career blocks.

Tracy Whitling / Shelbey Wardman (1999-00 / 2000-01)
Erin Frankovich / Stacey Green (2003-04 / 2004-05)

BRINGING DOWN BOARDS
Joseph-Bernard is one of the premier rebounders in the conference as the senior grabs the third most defensive rebounds per game (7.6), the sixth most rebounds per contest (8.9) and the sixth most total rebounds (205) in the PSAC. Most recently, the senior forward led SRU with 10 rebounds against Seton Hill. Joseph-Bernard was one point away from a double-double as she finished with nine.
Joseph-Bernard's 7.6 defensive rpg puts the senior as the ninth best defensive rebounder in Division II.
WOODS ON SRU TRANSFER LIST
Karianna Woods, a transfer from Bethune-Cookman, sits with 37 steals on the season, tied with Erinne Cunningham (2011-12) for the seventh most steals by a transfer in their first year at SRU.
IRON WOMEN
Slippery Rock has utilized Wade, Hook, Gillin and Joseph-Bernard together in the starting lineup in 21 of its 23 games this season. The Rock's core four rarely leave the court as each player averages at least 32 minutes per game.
Led by Wade's 36.3 minutes per game, the fourth-highest rank in the PSAC, four of The Rock's five starters are ranked in the top 10 in the conference in terms of minutes played per game.
