SLIPPERY ROCK MEN'S TEAM UPDATE
Friday's meet marks a final chance for SRU athletes to hit a qualifying mark for the PSAC meet or improve their seed position if they already have a qualifying mark. The Rock enter this weekend ranked No. 1 in the PSAC in three different events and have seven marks ranked either first or second in the league.

Drew Layton leads four SRU vaulters that own top five marks in the PSAC with his clearance of 5.05 meters ranked first in the league and 16th in Division II.
Dan Hyatt also has the NCAA standard at 4.95 meters to rank third in the PSAC and No. 32 in Division II.

Seaton Wozniak leads a pair of SRU shot put throwers that have the NCAA standard with his toss of 17.82 meters currently ranked No. 12 in Division II and No. 2 in the PSAC.
Joshua Gose is right behind him at No. 3 in the PSAC and No. 22 nationally with a throw of 17.46 meters.

Kanye Thompson leads the PSAC in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.27 seconds and anchors the 4x100-meter relay that includes
Benny Whitaker,
AJ Virata and
Matthew Crow, which ranks first in the league at 40.50 seconds. Virata is also No. 3 in the PSAC in the 200-meter dash (21.46) and Crow is No. 2 in the 110-meter hurdles (14.36).
John Juszynski rounds out the track marks that rank in the top two in the PSAC with his steeplechase time of 9:17.81 currently ranked No. 2.

Zach Gose enters this weekend ranked No. 2 in the PSAC and No. 19 in Division II in the hammer throw with a mark of 59.11 meters. The Rock also have a pair of javelin throwers that have met the NCAA provisional mark this year in
Joseph Reed and
Josh Kingerski, who both have matching bests of 60.11 meters.

Logan Anderson and
Zack Duda round out the top efforts for SRU this year with a pair of NCAA marks in the decathlon with Anderson ranked No. 20 nationally (6,591 pts) and Duda ranked No. 28 (6,461 pts).

SLIPPERY ROCK WOMEN'S TEAM UPDATE

The Rock enter this weekend ranked No. 1 in the PSAC in eight different events and have 12 marks ranked either first or second in the league.

Samantha Gilbert leads the sprinters and ranks No. 1 in the PSAC in the 100-meter dash (11.83) and No. 2 in the 200-meter dash (24.60).
Jianna Long currently sits No. 2 in the PSAC in the 400-meter dash (56.21). Gilbert and Long have also teamed with
Layne Miller and
Regan Johnson to post the No. 1 time in the league in the 4x100-meter relay (46.77).

Slippery Rock owns the No. 1 time in the PSAC in every distance event with
Anna Igims ranked first in the 1,500-meter run (4:41.41), the 5,000-meter run (16:38.85) and the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:17.13).
Ruthie Hughes ranks first in the league in the 10,000-meter run (35:48.09).

Sarah Corrie and
Becca Martin rank first and second in the PSAC in the shot put with Corrie leading the league at 14.50 meters and Martin ranked second at 13.45 meters.

Allie Taylor ranks first in the PSAC in the pole vault with a career-best clearance of 3.80 meters last week, while
Baylee Blauser ranks second in the long jump with her career-best leap of 5.86 meters. The Rock's top performers are rounded out by javelin thrower
Isabella Bartoletti, who is fourth in the league but 21st nationally with an NCAA provisional throw of 44.20 meters.
