SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team will host an ID Camp for high school students (freshmen and up) July 10, head coach Kevin Wilhelm announced.

The clinic will run from 9 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and will be conducted at the Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. In the event of poor weather, the clinic will be moved indoors to Morrow Field House.

Attendees will be immersed into an environment that promotes and challenges campers to take their game to the next level, while giving them a chance to showcase themselves to the coaches in attendance. All sessions will be administered by college coaches, who will take players through training sessions that will help develop them technically, tactically and mentally.

The camp will include player check-in and structured warm-up led by SRU coaches and active players, small-sided games to showcase your technique and creativity, 11v11 full-field matches for in-game evaluation, campus and athletic facility tour, Q&A session with the coaching staff about the recruiting process, academics, and what it takes to be a college athlete. All games will be filmed and attendees can receive the match footage to use in future recruitment.

The camp is limited to 60 total spots, with just eight goalkeeper slots. Goalkeeper-specific training will be offered, with a focus on the technical and tactical aspects of the position.

The cost of the clinic is $150. Payments for registration can be taken online at the link located at the top of the release or by navigation HERE.

Attendees are asked to bring cleats as well as indoor practice shoes, shin guards, appropriate training attire, and water bottles. Lunch will be provided by the coaching staff.

For any other questions and inquiries regarding the clinic contact men's soccer assistant coach Robert Serra (robert.serra@sru.edu).
