SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team landed six student-athletes on the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

In order to be eligible to earn a CSC Academic All-District selection, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and own a cumulative GPA above 3.50 while having significant athletic credentials. Additionally, athletes must have competed in 90 percent of their institution's games or have started in at least 66 percent of its games.

Representing The Rock on this year's team was junior midfielder
Ryan Hanes, junior midfielder
Jimmy Irani, sophomore goalie
Alvey Kaufman, junior defender
Gabin Lonjard, sophomore forward
Kaden Reynolds and graduate student midfielder
Colton Swanson. Lonjard is the lone repeat selection from last year.

Kaufman and Reynolds will move on to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-America Team consideration after they were both advanced forward by a national committee. The Academic All-America teams will be announced Dec. 16.

Slippery Rock recently completed its 2025 season with a 7-7-3 overall record and a 4-4-2 mark inside the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division, marking the second consecutive season The Rock finished the year with a winning percentage of .500 or better..

GPA: 3.71Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Major: Safety Management
• A team captain, Hanes controlled the midfield for SRU. During the 2025 campaign, he took five shots and put two shots on goal He started all 17 games and played a total of 1,358 minutes (79.9 mpg) on the way to earning second team All-PSAC West honors.

JIMMY IRANIÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
GPA: 3.90
Major: CybersecurityÂ
• Another of The Rock's talented sophomore class, Irani was a constant on the field for SRU in 2025 with 16 starts in his 17 games played. Offensively, Irani compiled five points on two goals and one assist with six of his 10 total shots being on target.

ALVEY KAUFMAN
GPA: 3.55
Major: Finance         Â
• After not appearing in a game a as a rookie, Kaufman took over as The Rock's primary goalkeeper in 2025, starting 13 of his 14 games played. He finished the year with a 4-6-3 record, five shutotus, 45 saves (.652) and a 1.79 Goals Against Average.

GABIN LONJARDÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
GPA: 3.70
Major: Accounting               Â
• A former first team All-PSAC West selection and three-year starter, Lonjard appeared in 16 games in 2025 en route to making 15 starts and scoring a pair of goals while playing 83.9 minutes per game.

KADEN REYNOLDS
GPA: 3.57
Major: Managment  Â
• Reynolds enjoyed a breakout season for The Rock as the sophomore. He started 12 of 17 games played and capped the year with 17 points on eight goals and one assist. Reynolds, who scored three game-winning goals, placed 19 shots on goal and earned All-PSAC West honors.

COLTON SWANSONÂ Â Â
GPA: 4.00
Major: Doctor of Physical Therapy programÂ
• After having his 2024 season derailed due to injury, a fully healthy Swanson enjoyed a strong year in 2025. He appeared in 16 of The Rock's 17 games while making 12 starts. In addition to his defensive efforts, Swanson also assisted on one goal and placed seven of his 18 total shots on target.
