2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Slippery Rock University men's soccer defender
Colton Spence was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region Team for the first time in his career, the organization announced Tuesday.
Spence's first all-region award was added to the defender's career that included two straight All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division honors.
This is the third consecutive season with Slippery Rock has received an all-region honoree after
Aitor Jorde earned the recognition in 2023 and 2024, while Artuto Pla Hernandis was recognized a season ago.
A senior from Cheswick, Pennsylvania, Spence was the backbone of SRU's defensive line, which allowed 1.59 goals per game and just 10.9 shots per match.
Over his career at Slippery Rock, Spence collected five points on two goals and one assist. The senior started all 34 games he played at SRU, while averaging 89.6 minutes per game.
Spence is one of seven player's in program history to earn multiple PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week awards.
Slippery Rock finished the 2025 season with a 7-7-3 record and a 4-4-2 record in PSAC West play. The Rock missed the postseason, but finished with at least a .500 record for the second consecutive season.
