Robert Serra

Robert Serra was named the Slippery Rock men's soccer assistant coach in the spring of 2025. Serra will work with head coach Kevin Wilhelm in all facets of the program with a focus on goalkeepers and SRU's defensive third for the upcoming 2025 year.

COACHING TIMELINE
• 2023-24: St. Mary's University (assistant coach)
• 2025-Present: Slippery Rock (assistant coach)

CAREER PATH
• Serra served as a goalkeeping coach for St. Mary's from 2023-24, making a Lone Star Conference Tournament appearance in both seasons and overseeing the LSC Goalkeeper of the Year, the LSC Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team consensus All-South Central Region goalkeeping honoree.
• Between the two seasons combined, Serra worked with a Rattlers team that accumulated a 20-9-10 (.641) record and won the 2024 LSC Regular Season Championship.
• Serra also worked at the club and high school soccer coaching levels, serving both as an Area Director for i9 Sports and a College Liason and High School Select Coach for Premier FA, a club team in San Antonio.

PLAYING CAREER
• Saw time as a goalkeeper at NJCAA Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas.

PERSONAL
• A native of San Antonio, Texas.
• Holds a United States Soccer Federation "C" License.
• Serra received his Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Texas State in 2018.
• Additionally, he earned a Master's of Business Administration from St. Mary's in 2024.
• Serra and his wife Adriana are the proud parents of their daughter, Phoenix.
