NEW ORLEANS – Slippery Rock University landed 21 members of its indoor track & field teams on the 2025 All-Region team in the Atlantic Region, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Rock are represented on the All-Region team by 10 men and 11 women that were recognized for owning one of the top five performance marks among all athletes in the region in their respective individual events or one of the top three fastest relay times in the region. The Atlantic Region includes all schools in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, the Mountain East Conference and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

The headliner for Slippery Rock is distance running standout
Anna Igims, who earned All-Region honors in four different events for the second consecutive indoor season. Not only was she All-Region in four events, Igims finished the year ranked No. 1 in the region in all four events with her performances in the mile, the 3,000-meter run, the 5,000-meter run and the distance medley relay.

Igims was one of four Rock women to earn All-Region honors in at least two different events this year.
Samantha Gilbert led the way for the sprinters with the No. 1 time in the region in the 200-meter dash and the No. 2 mark in the region in the 60-meter dash with both of those times setting SRU records.
Ruthie Hughes joined Igims in earning All-Region in the mile and the 5,000-meter run and PSAC shot put champion
Savannah Schneck picked up All-Region honors in both the shot put and the weight throw. SRU landed three shot putters on the All-Region team with
Becca Martin ranked third and
Olivia Heckman ranked fifth.

The other Rock women that earned a No. 1 mark in the region this winter included the rest of the distance medley relay team, where
Jennifer Cichra ran the 1,200-meter leg,
Annasophia Stauffer ran the 400-meter leg and
Tatiana Holt ran the 800-meter leg to join Igims, who ran the 1,200-meter leg, on the way to a time of 12:04.04 while winning the PSAC title.

The men's team was led by pole vaulter
Drew Layton, who cleared the highest bar in Atlantic Region history with a mark of 5.24 meters at the National Championships to rank first in the event this winter by a wide margin. National qualifier
Seaton Wozniak ranked second in the region in the shot put, while teammate
Joshua Gose picked up his seventh consecutive All-Region honor in the shot put. His brother,
Zach Gose, ranked second in the region in the weight throw this winter while
Matthew Crow was third in the hurdles,
Logan Anderson was third in the heptathlon,
Kanye Thompson was third in the 60-meter dash and
Logan Gossard was third in the pole vault.
