EDINBORO, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's cross country team finished seventh at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships Saturday from the Doug Watts XC Course at Penn West Edinboro.
 
Eli Schreiber led The Rock with a 30th place finish to earn second team All-PSAC honors, marking his first career All-Conference award. Schreiber moved up 24 places from his 54th place at the 2024 PSAC meet.  
 
Shippensburg put four runners in the top eight on the way to repeating as team champions with 40 points. East Stroudsburg was second with 78 points, followed by Kutztown with 94 points, West Chester with 100 points and Lock Haven with 100 points to round out the top five. Indiana (Pa.) was sixth with 183 points with Slippery Rock taking seventh with 206 points. The top 10 was rounded out by Edinboro with 245 points, Gannon with 248 points and California (Pa.) with 250 points.
 
Schreiber covered the 8,000-meter rolling course in 26:12 to lead SRU in 30th place overall, picking up the last available All-PSAC spot as those honors go to the top 30 finishers.
 
Michael Gauntner was second scorer across the line in 39th place in 26:37. John Juszynski was 41st in 26:39 with Jonah Lindstrom placing 54th in 27:00 and Dylan Ribelin finishing 56th in 27:01 to round out the five scores.
 
Alex Morris also ran 27:01 to place 58th and Easton Adamczyk capped the top seven in 61st place in 27:05.
 
Slippery Rock will now take a week off to recover before bumping up the distance to 10,000 meters at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships Nov. 8 at Lock Haven.
