LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock emerged victorious in its last non-conference game of the season with a 1-0 win over Frostburg State University, via a 53^rd minute game-winner from Sophia Palermo, Sept. 5 at James Egli Field.

With the result, SRU is now 10-0-2 in its last 12 games at James Egli Field with a +26 goal differential (32-6).

Palermo scored the lone goal in the matchup just eight minutes into the second half. The game-winning goal was the sixth of Palermo's career, moving her into a tie for 15^th in program history with Andrea Felix (2013-16).

Lilia Battalini paced The Rock with five shots, as well as three shots goal. Palermo (3), along with Peyton Los (2), Abby Paterline (2) and Miley Kariotis (2) took multiple shots, while Jilly Deivert also took one shot for SRU.

Leah Allman made seven saves in her first clean sheet of the season in the 36th victory of her career. The Rock goalkeeper made seven saves for the seventh in her career.

Frostburg State outshot Slippery Rock 20-15 overall, including 7-5 in shots on goal. SRU finished the game with seven saves compared to FSU's three and each team took six corner kicks.

NON-CONFERENCE VICTORY
The Rock's win against the Bobcats was their first non-conference regular season win since the 2023 season opener against Davis & Elkins College. Each season, Slippery Rock is only able to play one or two non-conference games due to the PSAC's round nine-team round robin format per division.

ALLMAN TAKES HOME PSAC WEST DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Allman was named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week for the fifth time in her career, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Allman, a senior from Olmsted Falls, Ohio, earns Slippery Rock its first weekly award this year. Allman ties Rachel Edge for the second most PSAC weekly awards in program history with five, while Emma Yoder leads the pack with 12.

Allman led Slippery Rock to a 2-0 week while making seven saves and earning one solo shutout as well as one combined clean sheet.

Allman has played 86.4 percent (311-360) of minutes as Slippery Rock's goalkeeper, while keeping a 0.87 goals against average and a .769 save percentage in 2026.

LEADING THE ROCK
Battalini and Los pace The Rock in points early in the season with five apiece in four games played. Battalini and Los both have two goals and one assist, followed by Palermo, who has logged two goals. Deivert and Eden Williams share the mantel as The Rock's current assist leader with two assists each.

Paterline, Bailey McGee, Addison Bell, Chloe Flynn and Summer Hill join Deivert with one goal, while Jordyn Constable, Libby Earley, and Lindsey Price each have one assist.

Battalini leads the charge with 10 shots. Deivert and Palermo round out The Rock's top three shot takers with nine and eight shots, respectively.

Madisyn Sedor, a crucial part of Slippery Rock's backline, leads all Rock field players with 271 minutes played (67.8 mpg).

Allman leads Slippery Rock in all goalkeeper statistics after starting all four games. Allman has 0.87 goals against average with a .769 save percentage.

Rosie Willmott Joyce has appeared in two games and made one save in 48 minutes of play.

For the third straight game, Slippery Rock started six underclassmen, which included four freshmen. GANNON SCOUTING REPORT
The Golden Knights have started of 2026 slow, as they enter the matchup with The Rock with a 1-2-0 record overall, holding a matching record in the PSAC West. Gannon opened the season with a 2-0 win versus Seton Hill, before falling to Clarion and Indiana University (Pa.), via dueling 2-1 scorelines. Gannon's two losses is just one loss shy of its 2025 season total.

Freshman midfielder Gianna Barela and senior forward Aubrey Pyne lead Gannon with three points on one goal and one assist each. Olivia Dixon and Bella Prince have also scored one goal for Gannon, while Grace Emanuel has added one assist for the Golden Knights.

Senior goalkeeper Abigail Niebauer has started all three games for Gannon and has a 1-1-0 record with a 1.20 GAA and a .250 save percentage, while Alexa Meyer has appeared in one game and has a 0-1-0 record, with a 2.00 GAA.

Slippery Rock returns home for Senior Day matchup against Pitt-Johnstown 3 p.m. Saturday at James Egli Field. Last season, SRU won the season series against UPJ with two multi-goal wins, 2-0 and 3-0, over the Mountain Cats.
