SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team welcomes Frostburg State for its final non-conference contest of 2026 in a matchup 1 p.m. Saturday at James Egli Field.

SERIES HISTORY
Slippery Rock and Frostburg State played for the first time last season in Maryland, where the Bobcats scored twice in the first half and held off The Rock for a 2-1 finish. Abby Paterline scored the lone goal for SRU, while Leah Allman made three saves as Slippery Rock's goalkeeper.

LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock scored six goals for the second consecutive game in a 6-0 victory over Edinboro in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division action Sept. 2 at James Egli Field.

For the second consecutive game, Slippery Rock benefited from six different goal scorers as Peyton Los, Bailey McGee, Lilia Battalini, Jilly Deivert, Irene Doleno and Leah Walter each netted one goal, while Los, Deivert, McGee and Eden Williams each earned one assist.

Allman started in goal and earned the win for Slippery Rock. The senior was not forced to make a save before being substituted for in the 78^th while The Rock held a 5-0 advantage. Rosie Willmott Joyce came in for Allman and finished the final 12 minutes of the game.

SRU outshot Edinboro 17-4 overall and 12-0 in shots on goal. The Rock took nine corners compared to the Bald Eagles' two.

HOME COOKING
Slippery Rock has historically taken advantage of its home field. In the last eight years, Slippery Rock has put together an impressive 44-9-13 (.830) record at home between James Egli Field and Mihalik-Thompson Stadium as well as a 10-0-2 mark in its last 12 games at James Egli Field with a +30 goal differential (37-6).

SO NICE THEY HAD TO DO IT TWICE
SRU put home six goals in its last on the pitch against the Fighting Scots, the second consecutive game that The Rock had scored six goals. Before Slippery Rock's win over Lock Haven, it had not scored six goals in a game in its previous 31 games. The last time Slippery Rock scored six or more goals in back-to-back games was Sept. 25 and Sept. 28, 2024, when The Rock claimed 6-0 victories against Edinboro and Clarion.

LEADING THE ROCK
Battalini and Los pace The Rock in points early in the season with five apiece in three games played. Battalini and Los both have two goals and one assist, followed by Deivert, who has logged one goal and two assists. Williams joins Deivert as The Rock's current assist leader as the sophomore also has two assists.

McGee, Paterline, Addison Bell, Chloe Flynn, Summer Hill and Sophia Palermo join Deivert with one goal, while Jordyn Constable, Libby Earley, and Lindsey Price each have one assist.

Deivert leads the charge with eight shots. Palermo, Battalini, Los and McGee follow the freshman with five shots each.

Lillian Snyder, a crucial part of Slippery Rock's backline, leads all Rock field players with 205 minutes played (68.3 mpg).

IN GOAL FOR THE ROCK
Allman leads Slippery Rock in all goalkeeper statistics after starting three games and playing 82.2 percent of SRU's goalkeeper minutes (222-270). Allman has 1.22 goals against average with a .500 save percentage.

Willmott Joyce has appeared in two games and made one save in 48 minutes of play.

Just three games into the 2026 season, Slippery Rock, as a team and individually, ranks near the top of numerous leaderboards throughout the NCAA Division II ranks.

A GAME OF FIRSTS
Slippery Rock saw three players score their first career goals in the victory over the Fighting Scots, as Walter, Doleno and Deivert found the back of the net for the first time, while Grater picked up her first career assist.

YOUTH SHINING BRIGHT
For the second straight game, Slippery Rock started six underclassmen, which included four freshmen. The Rock also played 11 underclassmen off the bench, as 63 percent of Slippery Rock's players against Edinboro were either freshmen or sophomores. SRU also saw production from its youth as 10 of The Rock's 17 points came via freshmen and sophomores.

FROSTBURG STATE SCOUTING REPORT
The Bobcats enter Saturday with a 2-0-0 record overall and a 1-0-0 mark in the Mountain East Conference Noth Division after two home victories over Lake Erie College and Davis & Elkins College. Frostburg State opened its season with a 4-0 win against Lake Erie before opening conference play with a 2-1 win over Davis & Elkins.

Junior midfielder Rayiah Davis currently leads the Bobcats in points three, as the Walkersville, Maryland native has one goal and one assist, while Mia Hudson, Cassidy Paige, Chelsea Pettyjohn, Mollie Rebuck and Reese Rizzo also have one goal each for FSU.

Frostburg State has played two goalkeepers in each contest so far. Kayla Doty has started each game and played the first 45 minutes, while Mia Graff has played the second half of both games. Each goalkeeper has a 1-0-0 record. Graff has a 0.00 GAA and a 1.000 save percentage, while Doty has a 1.00 GAA and a .800 save percentage.

LOOKING AHEAD
Slippery Rock heads to Erie, Pennsylvania for an important PSAC West matchup against Gannon University 6 p.m. Sept. 9 at McConnell Family Stadium. Last season, The Rock went 0-1-1 against the Golden Knights in the regular season.
