The Slippery Rock women’s soccer team continues its three-game homestand with a PSAC West contest against Edinboro 4 p.m. Wednesday at James Egli Field.

SERIES HISTORY
Slippery Rock owns a 32-5-8 record against Edinboro all-time, with the first match being in a 4-1 Rock victory in 1996. SRU and Edinboro have played in every season since the initial matchup.
 
SRU has been victorious in the last 12 games of the series, outscoring the Fighting Scots 37-8 in the process. Last season, Slippery Rock took two different 3-1 victories over Edinboro. Over the two games, Abby Paterline scored two goals, while Marissa Salisbury, Sophia Palermo, Bailey McGee and Allie Burns scored one goal apiece. LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock scored four first-half goals in a 6-1 victory to open PSAC West play Aug. 30 against Lock Haven at James Egli Field.

Slippery Rock benefited from six different goal scorers as well as 12 different players that earned at least one point as Palermo, Paterline, Peyton Los, Summer Hill, Chloe Flynn and Addison Bell found the back of the net. The Rock also had six different players earn an assist to go along with six different goal scorers as Jilly Deivert, Lilia Battalini, Lindsey Price, Jordyn Constable, Libby Earley and Eden Williams dished out one assist each.

Allman started in goal and earned the win for Slippery Rock. The senior made two saves before being substituted for in the 55th while The Rock held a 4-0 advantage. Rosie Willmott Joyce came in for Allman and made one save in 36 minutes of action.

SRU outshot LHU 29-5 overall and 10-4 in shots on goal. The Rock took eight corners compared to the Bald Eagles' one and each team committed five fouls.

HOME COOKING
Slippery Rock has historically taken advantage of its home field. In the last eight years, Slippery Rock has put together an impressive 44-9-13 (.830) record at home between James Egli Field and Mihalik-Thompson Stadium as well as an 8-0-2 mark in its last 10 games at James Egli Field with a +19 goal differential (25-6).

MOST GOALS SINCE …
SRU put home six goals in its last on the pitch against the Bald Eagles. Six goals had been the most that Slippery Rock had scored in its last 31 games, dating back to Sept. 28, 2024 in a 6-0 win at Clarion. The Rock scored six goals in another 6-0 victory against Edinboro, just three days prior to the matchup with the Golden Eagles. The start of the 2023 season was the last time that The Rock had scored six goals at James Egli Field, where SRU won 6-1 over Davis & Elkins College.

LEADING THE ROCK
Battalini paces The Rock in points early in the season with three in two games played. The sophomore forward is the only Rock player with multiple goal contributions so far in 2026 with one goal and one assist.

Bell, Flynn, Hill, Los, Palermo and Paterline join Battalini with one goal, while Constable, Deivert, Earley, Price and Williams have one assist.

Deivert leads the charge with seven shots. Palermo follows the freshman with five shots and Battalini rounds out SRU's top three shot takers with four.

Lillian Snyder, a crucial part of Slippery Rock's backline, leads all Rock field players with 145 minutes played (72.5 mpg).

IN GOAL FOR THE ROCK
Allman leads Slippery Rock in all goalkeeper statistics after starting two games and playing 80 percent of SRU's goalkeeper minutes (144-180). Allman has 1.88 goals against average with a .500 save percentage on 11 saves.

Willmott Joyce has appeared in one game and made one save in 36 minutes of play in a 6-1 win over Lock Haven.

FIRST CAREER POINTS
The Rock saw four players score their first career goals as Los, Flynn and Bell all found the back of the net for the first time in their collegiate careers, while Dievert earned her first career assist.

YOUTH SHINING BRIGHT
Slippery Rock started six underclassmen in the win over Lock Haven, which included four freshmen. The Rock also played 12 underclassmen off the bench, as 64.3 percent of Slippery Rock's players against LHU were either freshmen or sophomores. SRU also saw production from its youth as seven of The Rock's 12 goal contributors came via freshmen and sophomores.

EDINBORO SCOUTING REPORT
The Fighting Scots enter the matchup with a 1-1-0 record after falling to Mercy University in its season opener, 2-0, before taking down Indiana University (Pa.), 1-0, in its opening match in the PSAC West.

Sophomore forward Jada Cole, the leading scorer for Edinboro a season ago, scored the game-winning goal for the Fighting Scots against the Crimson Hawks.

Brianna Garey started in goal in each of Edinboro's first two games and has a 1.00 GAA and a .846 save percentage with 11 saves and one clean sheet.
