EMPORIA, Kansas – Slippery Rock University thrower
Seaton Wozniak earned second team All-America honors with a 12
th place finish in the shot put Saturday to close out the final day of action at the NCAA Division II Track & Field National Championships from Emporia State University.

Wozniak, a senior from Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, closed his terrific SRU career with his third All-America award after placing 12
th in the shot put Saturday. He recorded a throw of 17.26 meters on his first attempt of the competition and went on to earn second team All-America honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for placing between positions 9-16.

It marked the second All-America honor this spring and the third career All-America honor for Wozniak, who also earned second team honors at both the 2026 indoor national meet and the 2025 outdoor national meet. He placed inside the top 15 in the shot put at each of the last four National Championship meets in 2025 and 2026.

Wozniak, who also won a PSAC title this spring in the discus, leaves SRU as the indoor record holder in the shot put (18.40m) and as a PSAC champion in two different disciplines.

He was the only SRU athlete competing Saturday on the final day of action at nationals. The Rock also had two more All-Americans over the three days of the meet with
Zach Gose placing 17th in the hammer throw Thursday for an honorable mention All-America award and
Logan Anderson finishing 10th in the decathlon Friday to pick up second team All-America honors.

Saturday's meet marked the final day of competition for Slippery Rock athletics in the 2025-26 academic year, sending us to summer break before the athletes return for fall training camps in early August prior to the fall sports seasons.
