Rock lands two on PSAC Spring Top 10

Slippery Rock University women’s lacrosse All-American Paige Jenkins and men’s track & field All-American Seaton Wozniak were named to the PSAC Spring Top 10 team in recognition of their academic and athletic performances this spring.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University women's lacrosse All-American Paige Jenkins and men's track & field All-American Seaton Wozniak were named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Spring Top 10 team when the league announced its spring academic honorees Thursday.

The PSAC selects five men and five women during each season of the year for a Fall, Winter and Spring Top 10 team that recognizes excellence in both academics and athletics. In order to be nominated, student-athletes must be at least sophomores in academic and athletic standing, must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above and must have significant athletic credentials. The award is nominated for and voted on by the league's athletic communication professionals. Since the inception of the Top 10 program in 1994, Slippery Rock leads all institutions in the PSAC with 96 honorees (all-time SRU list here).

Jenkins becomes a first-time Top 10 honoree and Wozniak becomes a two-time Top 10 honoree after he was also recognized on the 2025-26 Winter Top 10 team earlier this spring.

A sophomore from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Jenkins broke the SRU single-season and career records for caused turnovers this spring and led the No. 1 ranked scoring defense in the country. She finished the year with 64 caused turnovers, 73 ground balls and 65 draw controls. She also scored one goal on just two shot attempts and finished the year ranked in the top 10 nationally in caused turnovers per game. SRU's defense allowed just 344 total shots all year and allowed a national low 5.57 goals per game.

She was named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row and picked up first team All-PSAC honors for the third straight year. She was also named to first team All-Region honors and first team All-America honors by both USA Lacrosse Magazine and the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, becoming the first two-time first team All-American in program history.

In the classroom, Jenkins owns a 3.73 cumulative GPA while majoring in marketing with a minor in leadership. She was named to Academic All-America honors last spring and will be on the ballot again this spring. She is also an Academic All-PSAC honoree, a D2ADA Academic Achievement honoree and a member of the IWLCA Honor Roll.

Wozniak, a senior from Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, won the PSAC title this spring in the discus throw and took second at the conference meet in the shot put to score 18 individual points for SRU in the team standings. He earned second team All-America honors in the shot put after placing 12th at the National Championships and also earned All-Region honors in both the shot put and discus for ranking in the top five in the region in both events. He was the only athlete in the region to rank in the top two in two different events this spring.

The spring performances wrapped up a stellar senior year for Wozinak, who also won the PSAC title in the shot put, earned second team All-America honors and set a new SRU program record at 18.40 meters during the indoor season.

In addition to his performance in the throws, Wozniak was also among the best overall students at SRU. He graduated this spring with a perfect 4.0 GPA after more than 120 credit hours in the business management program at The Rock. Wozniak is already a two-time Academic All-American and will be on the ballot again this year. He is also an Academic All-PSAC honoree, a D2ADA Academic Achievement honoree and a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree.

Jenkins and Wozniak join women's cross country runner Jennifer Cichra, football player Michael Henwood and men's indoor track & field athlete Logan Anderson from the fall and winter to give The Rock a total of six PSAC Top 10 honorees in 2025-26.
