EMPORIA, Kansas – Slippery Rock University multi-event specialist Logan Anderson earned second team All-America honors in the decathlon to lead The Rock men's track & field team Friday on the second day of the NCAA Division II National Championships from Emporia State University.

Anderson, a sophomore from Edinboro, Pennsylvania, picks up his first career All-America honor in the decathlon and his second overall All-America honor after also earning first team plaudits earlier this spring in the heptathlon at the indoor national meet.

He finished the 10 events of the decathlon with a score of 6,969 total points to mark the second best performance of his career, trailing only his personal best of 7,125 points that came in the PSAC title winning effort three weeks ago. The 10th place finish earned him second team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. He was just 67 total points out of the final podium spot and the first team All-America cutoff of eighth place.

Anderson closed his day strong with top six efforts in three of the final four events, including the third-best 1,500-meter time, the fourth-best javelin throw and the sixth-best discus throw among all decathletes.

The Rock had just one athlete in action Friday and will close the 2026 season with one final athlete in action Saturday when Seaton Wozniak throws the shot put at 4:45 p.m. ET. Zach Gose also competed Thursday on the first day of the meet and took 17th place in the hammer throw to earn honorable mention All-America honors.
