LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock was downed by No. 8 Gannon University, 72-51, Jan. 31 at Morrow Field House.
Wade led Slippery Rock in scoring for the eighth time this season with a career-high 23 points. The last time a Rock freshman scored 23 or more points was
Regan Atkins in the 2023-24 season against Seton Hill University. Wade also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out three assists and picked up one steal.
Haggerty also finished in double-digits with 10 points for SRU. This was Haggerty's second straight start as the junior also came down with two rebounds.
Hook finished with seven points, five rebounds and one assist, while Gillin ended the contest with five points and six rebounds. Gillin extended her streak of consecutive games with a made 3-pointer to 10. The senior is now in 10th place on SRU's consecutive games with a 3-pointer list.
Jorja Bernesser made her first career start for SRU and finished with one rebound in 12 minutes played.
Off the bench, Joseph-Bernard and
Laney Bone combined for six points and seven rebounds. Joseph-Bernard also ended the game with five assists and three steals.

PSAC WEST STANDINGS UPDATE
While far from a true must-win game, Slippery Rock enters the second leg of its PSAC West round-robin schedule Saturday in need of a victory to not only regain some of its lost momentum from earlier in the year, but to also inch closer to a top six spot in the Western Division standings.
Â
• The top six teams in the Western Division standings at the end of the regular season qualify for the PSAC Tournament. The first and second seeds in the standings earn first-round byes and a home game in the quarterfinal round while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds are guaranteed home games in the first round.
Â
• The top four teams in the PSAC West standings have begun to separate itself as Gannon and Indiana University (Pa.) enter the weekend in a tie for first place with matching 12-1 league records while Seton Hill and Edinboro sit comfortably in a tie third place at 10-3.
Â
• The remainder of the division's standings see four teams separated by no more than four games.
Â
• Clarion and California (Pa.) head into their respective weekend contests occupying the final two PSAC Tournament spots in fifth and sixth place with a 7-6 and 6-7 record, respectively.
Â
• If the season ended today Slippery Rock would sit in seventh place in the PSAC West standings with its 4-9 conference record. However, The Rock are just two games behind the Vulcans for the final spot with seven games to go in the regular season. Slippery Rock will play California one more time this season at the Convocation Center.
Â
• Pit-Johnstown rounds out the PSAC West standings with a 3-10 conference record, making this matchup pinitol of the Mountain Cats as well.
LEADING THE PACK
Wade is currently averaging 14.1 points per game and 4.7 assists per game this season. The guard sits 25

D2 Freshmen Assist Leaders

2. Samariana Franklin (Miles – 4.6)
Among all levels of the NCAA, there are only three freshmen that produce more assists per game than SRU's rookie sensation.

MOVING THE ROCK
Ball movement has been key for SRU putting up 64.7 points per game as it has assisted on 57.4 percent (260-of-453) of it's made field goals.
Wade and Joseph-Bernard lead the way for Rock playmakers as the guard ranks second (4.7 apg) and the forward ranks sixth (3.8 apg) in the PSAC in assists per game.
Slippery Rock is the only team in the PSAC with two of the top 10 players in assists per game.
MODEL OF CONSISTENCY
Gillin has made at least one 3-pointer in 10 consecutive games and in 17 of her 19 appearances this season. With at least one 3-point field goal made against Pitt-Johnstown, Gillin would move within one game from ninth place in SRU history for consecutive games with a 3-pointer made with 11. Deleah Gibson (2011-12/12-13) currently occupies ninth place, while four players are tied for fifth place on the list.
Consecutive Games with a 3-Pointer Made
t5. Erinne Cunningham (2011-12) – 13
t5. Aidan Geise (2013-14) – 13

9. D'Asia Chambers (2011-12/2012-13) – 12
10. Alyssa Gillin (2025-26) – 10
ROOKIE LEADERS
With seven games left in the regular season, Wade is currently The Rock's leading scorer with 14.1 points per game. If the freshman stays as Slippery Rock's top point-getter, she will be the third rookie to lead The Rock in scoring since the 1999-00 season.Â
Regan Atkins (2023-24) and Siembak (1999-00) are the only SRU rookies to lead the team in points in the last 27 seasons. Atkins led SRU with 15.2 ppg. while Siembak averaged 15.5 ppg in her rookie campaign.
INSIDE OUT THREAT
Gillin has been a cornerstone for SRU both offensively and defensively this year. Not only has she blocked 1.6 shots per game, she's also converted 37 of her 109 3-point attempts on the way to averaging 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 42 percent from the field overall to go with her impressive shot blocking.
Â
Gillin is one of two athletes in all of Division II to have recorded at least 35 made 3-pointers and 30 blocks this year.
Â
35 3's / 30 Blocks in D2
Alyssa Gillin (SRU): 3's: 37 – Blocks: 31
Jordan Gillies (Trevecca Nazarene): 3's: 42 – Blocks: 31
PICKING UP STEALS
Woods has been a core player for SRU on the defensive end this season. The senior transfer from Bethune-Cookman sits with 36 steals on the season, just one steal behind Erinne Cunningham (2011-12) for the seventh most steals by a transfer in their first year at SRU. Woods has at least one steal in all but one game so far this season.Â
On the offensive end, Woods has reach double-digits in points in eight of her last 11 games, averaging 9.2 ppg over that span.
SHARPSHOOTING DUO
Gillin and Hook have been among the PSAC's top sharpshooters in the 2025-26 season. Gillin (1.9) and Hook (1.8) rank fifth and eighth in the conference in 3-pointers made per game.

t5. Teresa Maggio (IUP) – 1.9
t5. Kara Wehner (Shepherd) – 1.9

FINDING HER RHYTHM
Haggerty has been enjoying her most productive stretch as a scorer of her career. Haggerty has scored 70 points total in her last six appearances, averaging 11.7 ppg in that span, including a career-high 17 points against California (Pa.). The junior also earned her second consecutive start against Gannon.
ONE OF A KIND
While typically not the highest scoring player on the court, Joseph-Bernard always finds multiple ways to impact the game. The senior is averaging 8.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.6 blocks and 2.1 steals per game. Joseph-Bernard is the only Division II athlete to average at least 8.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.
NO FLY ZONE
Joseph-Bernard and Gillin have been the backbone Slippery Rock's defense this season. The two forwards rank inside the top 10 for blocks as a senior at The Rock as Gillin sits in third place with 31 blocks, while Joseph-Bernard occupies fourth place with 29 blocks.
SETTING RECORDS
Joseph-Bernard and Gillin have combined for 60 blocks this season to help The Rock up to sixth on the PSAC's block rankings with 3.9 per game.
Â
The duo has also been prolific shot blockers over their careers as Joseph-Bernard is 10th in program history in career blocks with 57, while Gillin ranks tied for 11th with 56 rejections. Joseph-Bernard and Gillin are just the fifth pair of Rock teammates with each holding at least 50 career blocks to be active at the same time. If Joseph-Bernard and Gillin were able to achieve 60 career blocks by the end of the year, they would be the third pair of teammates to be active with 60 career blocks.

HITTING THE GLASS
Joseph-Bernard is one of the premier rebounders in the PSAC as the senior grabs the third most defensive rebounds per game (7.7), the fifth most rebounds per contest (9.0) and the seventh most total rebounds (162) in the conference.
Â
Joseph-Bernard's 7.9 defensive rpg puts the senior as the seventh best defensive rebounder in Division II.
IRON WOMEN
Slippery Rock has utilized the same starting lineup of Wade, Hook, Woods, Gillin and Joseph-Bernard in 17 of 19 games this season. The Rock's core five rarely leave the court as every SRU starter averages at least 30 minutes per game.
Â
Led by Wade's PSAC-high 37.0 minutes per game, all five Rock starters are ranked in the top of 25 in the conference in terms of minutes played per game.
