SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's track & field team hit 26 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks and four NCAA provisional marks at the SRU Last Chance Meet Friday at the William Lennox Track.

Three of the four NCAA marks came from athletes in the throws while the other came on the track with
Kanye Thompson winning the 100-meter dash in 10.42 seconds.
Seaton Wozniak and
Joshua Gose went 1-2 in the shot put with Wozniak tossing 16.79 meters and Gose throwing 16.77 meters.
Zach Gose rounded out the NCAA marks with a win in the hammer with a throw of 58.87 meters.

Wozniak also won the discus (47.60m) and
Joseph Reed won the javelin (57.37m) as Slippery Rock swept all four throwing events Friday.

The Rock also swept the horizontal jumps with
Logan Anderson winning the long jump (7.14m) and
Ian James winning the triple jump (14.12m). SRU also claimed a win in the pole vault with
Dan Hyatt clearing 4.78 meters to pick up wins in seven of the eight field events Friday.

In addition to Thompson's win in the 100-meter dash, SRU also won four other events on the track to finish the day with 12 total wins.

AJ Virata took the top spot in the 200-meter dash (21.39),
Michael Gauntner won the 1,500-meter run (4:07.23) and The Rock swept the two hurdle races with
Matthew Crow winning the 110-meter hurdles (14.54) and
Owen Rindler winning the 400-meter hurdles (55.56).

Slippery Rock will now prepare to host the 2025 PSAC Championships next Thursday through Saturday, May 8-10. The full meet schedule is available
