CALIFORNIA SCOUTING REPORT
The Vulcans avenged a 19-point loss earlier in the season to the Griffins after an 88-78 victory against No. 9 Seton Hill Wednesday. California dropped a heartbreaking 61-56 matchup to No. 13 Gannon Feb. 1 after entering the fourth quarter with a one-point advantage.

All five California starters scored in double-figures in the win against Seton Hill. Talia Gillard led the way with an excellent all-around effort of 22 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and three steals on 7-of-10 shooting from the field and 5-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc. Allycia Harris recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds with 10 of those coming on the offensive glass.

California racks up 70.0 points per game, the fourth-ranked scoring offense in the PSAC. The Vulcans rank 21st in the country with a turnover margin of +4.91 per game and 24th in D-II with 11.8 steals per game. Two statistics that Cal does not rank highly in are field goal percentage (.393), 13th in the PSAC, and free throw percentage (.623), 16th in the PSAC.

Junior Alicia Young (14.0 ppg) and Gillard (12.1) are the team's leading scorers ahead of Harris (10.6) and Iyahnna Williams (8.7). California has six players averaging more than one steal per game, Gillard and Harris eclipse two steals a contest.

In their first matchup against The Rock, Williams and Gillard combined for 32 points, six rebounds, and eight steals while each player was on the court for the full 40 minutes in Cal's 62-59 win Jan. 8. As a team, the Vulcans shot 33.3 percent (23-of-69) from the floor and 33.3 percent (5-of-15) from the perimeter.

California sits fifth in the PSAC West standings thanks to an 8-7 conference record. The Vulcans finished third in the PSAC West last year after going 16-6 in conference competition.
