Final Results
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Slippery Rock University men's track & field team won seven of the 14 events SRU athletes competed in Saturday at the Jim Wuske Invite hosted by the University of Mount Union.

The Rock also recorded 20 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference automatic qualifying marks and three NCAA provisional qualifying marks.

Two of the three NCAA marks came in the shot put, where
Seaton Wozniak and
Joshua Gose took the top two spots to lead four SRU throwers to at least the PSAC standard in the event. Wozniak won with a career-best throw of 17.11 meters with Gose taking second with a toss of 16.43 meters. Wozniak's winning throw moved him up to No. 15 on the Division II leaderboard this winter.
Logan Parker was fourth with a throw of 15.86 meters and
Zach Gose was sixth with a throw of 14.54 meters.

Zach Gose also took second in the weight throw to lead SRU to three more PSAC marks in the second throwing discipline. He recorded a throw of 17.10 meters to finish second overall and first among the college throwers in the competition.
Ryan Oleksy was third with a toss of 15.56 meters and
Joshua Rohland was fourth with a throw of 15.35 meters.

SRU grabbed two more wins in the field with
Ethan Folmer winning the high jump (1.85 meters) and
Ian James winning the triple jump with a PSAC qualifying mark of 14.09 meters.
Jason Alderson followed James in second place with a PSAC qualifying jump of 14.02 meters.

The Rock had three pole vaulters record PSAC marks with
Logan Gossard leading the way in second place with a clearance of 4.68 meters.
Bradon Schneider was third at 4.53 meters and
Cullen Birkes was fourth at 4.43 meters to cap the top efforts in the field.

Matthew Crow recorded the third NCAA mark of the day and lone NCAA mark on the track when he won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.16 seconds.

The Rock had three sprinters clock the PSAC standard in the 60-meter dash with
Kanye Thompson leading the way with a victory in 6.86 seconds.
AJ Virata ran a season-best 6.98 seconds to take second and
Benny Whitaker placed third in 7.03 seconds. Virata then came back later in the day and won the 200-meter dash in a PSAC mark of 22.61 seconds.
Tyler Morosky also hit the PSAC standard in second in 22.90 seconds.

The remaining PSAC qualifying marks came from a pair of distance runners with
Joey Cintavey and
Troy Hart both hitting the standard in the mile. Cintavey took fifth in 4:22.31 and Hart was sixth in 4:22.87. Hart also teamed with
Ryan Corbitt,
Dylan Barca and
Eli Schreiber to win the distance medley relay in 10:50.95.
