LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock erased a 10-point second half deficit to down Shepherd, 76-72, Tuesday at Morrow Field House.
Alyssa Gillin led all scorers with 22 points. Gillin also blocked four shots, grabbed five rebounds and earned one assist.
Iyanna Wade was three boards shy of a triple-double with 14 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds. This was the first double-double of Wade's career.

Hannah Pugliese provided a crucial spark off the bench with eight points, three rebounds and one steal, all in the second half.
Kayley Joseph-Bernard led The Rock on the glass with 10 rebounds. The senior also scored six points, collected two steals, blocked two shots, and sunk two free throws to close out the game down the stretch.
Mairan Haggerty rounded out The Rock's scorers with three points.
Slippery Rock ended the game shooting 43.1 percent (25-of-58) from the field overall, 58.8 percent (10-for-17) from the 3-point line and 80 percent (16-of-20) from the charity stripe.
The Rock set season highs in 3-pointers made, 3-point percentage and free throws made.
Shepherd finished the tilt shooting 43.9 percent (29-of-66) from the floor overall, 33.3 percent (6-for-18) from beyond the arc and 80 percent (8-of-10) from the foul line.
STARTING CONFERENCE PLAY 2-0
With The Rock's win against Shepherd, they started PSAC play 2-0 for the first time since the 2021-22 season. If SRU takes down Shippensburg, it will start conference play 3-0 for the first time since the 2018-19 season, where The Rock started the PSAC 4-0.
COMEBACK VICTORY
SRU overcame a six-point halftime deficit (34-28) to beat Shepherd. This was the first time Slippery Rock overcame a halftime deficit in its last 20 games.
DRAINING THE LONG BALL
Slippery Rock made 10 of its 17 attempts from beyond the arc against the Rams. The last time SRU made 10 3-pointers on 20 or less attempts was Nov. 12, 2013 versus Clarion when it hit 10-of-20.
PSAC CROSSOVERS ON THE ROAD
Since the 2014-15 season, Slippery Rock sports a 30-24 record overall in PSAC crossover games, and 13-14 on the road in such games.
CLUTCH FROM THE LINE
SRU knocked down 16 of its 20 free throw attempts against Shepherd. That performance was the most free throws Slippery Rock has made in its last 23 games. Down the stretch, The Rock hit 11-of-13 foul shots in the fourth quarter. The last time SRU made 10 shots from the charity stripe in the final frame was Jan. 6, against Pitt-Johnstown.
KNOCKING IT DOWN
Gillin knocked down six 3-pointers against Shepherd last time out. The six made long-balls are the most in a single game from a Slippery Rock player since Deleah Gibson hit six 3-pointers Feb. 6, 2023, against California (Pa.). The last time a SRU player hit more than six 3-pointers was Maddie Johnson, who hit 8 from beyond the arc Feb. 26, 2020, against Tiffin.
MOVING THE ROCK
Ball movement has been key for SRU putting up 66.6 points per game as it has assisted on 56.7 percent (114-of-201) of it's made field goals.
Wade and Joseph-Bernard lead the way for Rock playmakers as the guard ranks second (4.9 apg) and the forward ranks fourth (4.1 apg) in the PSAC in assists per game.
Slippery Rock is the only team in the PSAC with two of the top five players in assists per game.
PROTECTING THE PAINT
Joseph-Bernard has been one of the fiercest shot-blockers in the country so far this season. The forward is currently 29
th in Division II in total blocks with 19 and 16
th with 2.38 blocks per game. While near the top of the country in blocks and blocks per game, Joseph-Bernard's total rejection numbers stand alone atop the PSAC.
Along with Joseph-Bernard, Gillin has also been a force in the paint. Gillin ranks third in blocks per game (1.63) and third in total blocks (13) in the PSAC.

Wade is the 17
th leading scorer in the PSAC with 13.4 points per game, and leads all freshman in the conference.
A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING
While not the highest scoring player on the court, Joseph-Bernard always finds multiple ways to impact the game. The senior is averaging 8.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 2.38 blocks and 2.1 steals per game.Â
Joseph-Bernard is the only Division II athlete to average at least 8.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.

Slippery Rock has multiple players lighting it up from beyond the arc during the 2025-26 season. Hook ranks second (.409) and Gillin (.400) sits fourth in the PSAC in 3-point percentage.

SCOUTING SHIPPENSBURG
The Raiders sport a 1-7 record after eight games this season, picking up their lone win over Lincoln University, 59-55. All but one of Shippensburg's defeats have come by double-digits.

SCOUTING LOCK HAVEN
The Bald Eagles have started the 2025-26 season with a 3-4 record. Lock Haven has had a three-game win streak sandwiched between a pair of two-game skids. Lock Haven has had one common opponent with Slippery Rock this season, with each team claiming a win over Davis & Elkins College.
The Bald Eagles feature four players averaging at least 12 points per game, with Madeline Evans leading the way with 17.9 ppg. Evans' scoring total ranks fourth in the conference and second among PSAC East players. Evans also grabs 13.9 rpg, the highest clip in the PSAC, dishes 1.7 apg, registers 1.4 bpg and 1.0 spg.
