Westminster Results
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's track & field team recorded 22 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks, one NCAA provisional mark and eight event wins at the Westminster Invitational that wrapped up Saturday evening from Westminster College.

The Westminster meet was one of three meets SRU is competing in this week. The multi-event athletes competed at Susquehanna Thursday and Friday (
recap here) and the distance runners are competing at Bucknell Saturday and Sunday (recap available Sunday evening).

The highlights of the day for SRU Saturday came from
Joshua Gose, who won the shot put with an NCAA provisional mark of 17.08 meters, and
Matthew Crow, who swept both hurdle races. Gose also hit the PSAC standard in both the discus and hammer to finish the weekend with three top six finishes. He was fifth in the hammer throw at 44.20 meters and sixth in the discus at 44.33 meters.

Seaton Wozniak was second in the shot put with a toss of 16.43 meters and also took second in the discus with a throw of 46.82 meters.
Joshua Rohland hit a pair of PSAC marks in the throws as well after he was third in the hammer (45.53m) and eighth in the shot put (14.15m).
Zach Gose joined his brother in hitting the PSAC standard in both the hammer and the discus. He was second in the hammer (47.25m) and fifth in the discus (44.38m).
Josh Kingerski and
Joseph Reed rounded out the 11 total PSAC marks in the throws with second and third place showings in the javelin. Kingerski was second with a throw of 54.52 meters and Reed took third at 54.10 meters.

Dan Hyatt capped the wins in the field with a victory in the pole vault after clearing 4.77 meters.
Logan Turton and
Grady Cobb both hit the conference mark in the high jump with matching clearances of 1.90 meters to finish second and third.
Taye Lynch rounded out the PSAC efforts in the field with a third place showing in the triple jump with a leap of 13.65 meters.

Slippery Rock was dominant on the track in the sprints and hurdles, sweeping every event except the 4x100-meter relay.
Matthew Crow led the efforts there with a pair of wins in the hurdles, taking the 110-meter hurdles in 14.86 seconds and winning the 400-meter hurdles in 55.61 seconds.
Brenden Lewis was fourth in the high hurdles in 15.08 seconds.
Owen Rindler was third in the intermediate hurdles in 56.79 seconds with
Cade Adams finishing fourth in 56.87 seconds to give SRU a total of five PSAC marks in the hurdle events.

AJ Virata won the 100-meter dash in 10.59 seconds and
Jacob Thompson took the 200-meter dash in 21.93 seconds.
Micah Good won the 400-meter dash in 50.49 seconds. Those three also teamed with
Kyle Rauchut to win the 4x400-meter relay in 3:21.33.

The Rock also got top five finishes Saturday from Rauchut, who was second in the 400-meter dash (50.92),
Noah Johnson, who was fifth in the steeplechase (10:15.86) and missed the PSAC standard (10:15.00) by less than a second,
Bryan Dworek and
Mason Reed in the long jump, where Dworek was third (6.76m) and Reed was fourth (6.64m) and
Cullen Birkes, who took fifth in the pole vault (4.02m).

Slippery Rock will continue competition this weekend deep into the evening hours Saturday at Bucknell (
