PUEBLO, Colo. – Slippery Rock University multi-event standout
Logan Anderson took 13th in the decathlon at the NCAA Division II National Championships Friday at Colorado State University Pueblo.

Anderson, one of only two freshmen in the country to qualify for nationals in the decathlon, came up one spot shy of an All-America finish in his debut appearance at nationals. He took 13th in the competition with a final score of 5,911 points.

His top performance of the second day came in the 110-meter hurdles, where he clocked a time of 15.25 seconds to score 820 points.

Anderson was the lone SRU male competing at nationals Friday.
Drew Layton (pole vault) and
Kanye Thompson (100-meter dash) each earned All-America honors Thursday on the opening day of action.
Seaton Wozniak will close out the meet for The Rock men when he throws the shot put Saturday. On the women's side, Anna Igims will compete Friday night in the steeplechase finals before Sarah Corrie (shot put) and Isabella Bartoletti (javelin) compete Saturday,.
