BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's cross country team took 14th in the Brown Race at the Paul Short Run Saturday at Lehigh University with
Troy Hart leading the way in eighth place in the individual race.

Slippery Rock was the fourth Division II team in Brown Race standings with the other teams ahead of SRU being Division I races. The field included 38 total teams with most of them being from the NCAA Division I level. The Rock were the third team from the Atlantic Region in the standings behind Davis & Elkins and Shippensburg. Â

Hart led the way with an eighth place showing after covering the 8,000-meter course in 24:55.
Â
John Juszynski was the next finisher in 69th place in 26:02.
Devon Navaroli followed in 98th place in 26:19 with
Ryan Czechowski in 113th in 26:29 and
Eli Schreiber in 150th in 26:53 to round out the scorers.

Brady Hoffman was 187th in 27:28, followed by
Michael Novak in 208th in 27:48,
Michael Gauntner in 224th in 28:00 and
Anthony Robare in 244th in 28:24.

SRU also had a handful of men compete in the Open Race earlier in the day Saturday with
Easton Adamczyk leading the way there in 290th place in 27:31.
Harrison Repko was 334th in 27:54 and
Dylan Ribelin and
Dom Bumblis were 351st and 352nd in 27:59 each. Â

Slippery Rock will compete again next Friday at Edinboro before resting for the PSAC Championships Oct. 26 at Kutztown.
