KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's cross country team took fourth at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships Saturday at Kutztown University's Farm Course.

Shippensburg defended its title to win the team race with a score of 28 points. East Stroudsburg put all five scorers in the top 22 places to take second with 83 points. Indiana (Pa.) was third with 104 points with Slippery Rock in fourth with 149 points and Gannon rounding out the top five with 161 points. A total of 15 teams and 150 runners competed in the meet.

The Rock had a trio of athletes earn All-PSAC honors with
Troy Hart and
Devon Navaroli earning first team All-PSAC awards for finishing in the top 15 and
John Juszynski earning second team All-PSAC honors for finishing in the top 30.

Hart led SRU in fifth place after covering the 8,000-meter course in 25:41 to mark his third straight top 10 finish at the PSAC XC Championships and his third career first team All-PSAC award.

Navaroli earned his fourth career All-PSAC honor and was a first team selection for the first time in his career after taking 15th place in 26:01. Juszynski earned his first career All-PSAC honor in XC with a 23rd place showing in 26:23.

Eli Schreiber was the fourth scorer in 54th place in 27:17 and
Ryan Czechowski rounded out the SRU scorers in 60th place in 27:30. The top seven finishers were capped by
Dom Bumblis in 62nd in 27:32 and
Brady Hoffman in 64th in 27:34.

Slippery Rock will take next week off before returning to action Nov. 9 at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships at Lock Haven.
