At home, Slippery Rock is 9-19 against Shippensburg, last defeating the Raiders in Morrow Field House in 2017.

LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock fell 64-50 to Division II independent Salem last week at home. Despite fairly even play through the final 30 minutes, The Rock could not overcome a 16-9 first quarter deficit.

Both Donza and Regan Atkins contributed 14 points in the effort, with Donza shooting a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line for the first time in her career.

THE FRESHMEN ARE ON FIRE
Slippery Rock boasts the two highest-scoring freshmen within the PSAC in Atkins and Anye Washington. Atkins has started every game this season, playing the full 40 minutes for the first time against Salem. Washington has made three appearances, highlighted by an 18-point performance at Millersville University.

Points per game among all PSAC freshmen:
1. Regan Atkins, Slippery Rock (13.2)
2. Anye Washington, Slippery Rock (12.0)

3. Katie Sheeler, Mansfield (11.7)
4. Nina Shaw, California (Pa.) (8.6)
5. Arianna Myers, Clarion (8.0)

RACKING UP THE POINTS
Through its first five games of the season, Slippery Rock's offense has been led by Donza with 15.4 points per game, ranking her ninth in the PSAC. Donza also leads the team in 3-pointers made with 2.4 per game, good enough for sixth in the conference.

Atkins may not have scored as many points as Donza, but the true freshman has been a staple of consistency, shooting better than 50 percent in four of her five games. Her 53.2 percent field goal percentage ranks third in the PSAC.

SUCCESS IN THE CROSSOVERS
Slippery Rock has historically fared well when playing in PSAC crossover matches, going 25-20 (.556) since the 2014-15 season.

A 2-0 showing over Shepherd and Shippensburg would mark the fourth time since 2014-15 that The Rock have swept a pair of crossover matches.

Slippery Rock dropped its first two crossover matches this season, losing on the road to West Chester University and Millersville.

FORCING THE TURNOVER
As a team, Slippery Rock ranks sixth in the PSAC with a +2.4 turnover margin. The Rock's 0.77 assist-to-turnover ratio evenly situates them ninth within the conference as well.

Deryn Moye leads Slippery Rock with five total steals, followed by a six-way tie for second with four steals each: Atkins, Donza, Gabby Jackson, Endya Robinson, Emily Venick and Kaylin Venick.

Slippery Rock has forced more turnovers than it has committed in the last two consecutive games. The Rock held a +6 (18-12) turnover advantage over Millersville and a +3 (16-13) edge against Salem. SRU has yet to finish a game with a turnover margin of worse than -1.

MAKING THE MOST OF IT
In Slippery Rock's game against Salem last week, The Rock held advantages in both points off turnovers and fast break points for the first time this season.

SRU led in points off turnovers, 11-10, and had the upper hand in fast break points, 9-4.
