LAST TIME OUT

Slippery Rock fell on the road to Malone University Tuesday, 74-57. Improving upon the 13 points she posted in her SRU debut against Ursuline College, Regan Atkins led The Rock once again with 19, shooting 8-of-15 from the floor. Kristina Donza chipped in with her third career game with three 3-pointers, putting up 14 points and two steals.

CONTINUING TO MAKE A NAME
Atkins, a true freshman from New Castle, Pennsylvania, has now tallied 32 points through the first two games of her career, averaging 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. Atkins has shot 13-of-24 (.542) from the floor, good enough to be ranked fifth in the PSAC. She enters conference competition as the top freshman scorer in the PSAC.

DONZA FOR THREE
Redshirt junior transfer Donza one-upped her two 3-pointer game against Ursuline with a hat trick of buckets from beyond the arc at Malone, putting her sixth in the PSAC with 2.5 made 3-pointers per game.

Through the seven games that Donza played a season ago, she went 7-of-17 (41.2 percent) from the perimeter. Through just a pair of games this year, she has already made 5-of-13 3-point attempts (38.5 percent). She accounts for five of the team's 11 3-point baskets this year (45.5 percent).

CROSSOVER CRUISING
Slippery Rock has historically fared well when playing in PSAC crossover matches, going 25-18 (.575) since the 2014-15 season. If The Rock were to go a perfect 2-0 over the weekend, it would mark the fourth time since 2014-15 that they have won their first pair of crossover outings in a season.

OPENING PSAC PLAY
Slippery Rock is 4-1 in PSAC-openers in its last five seasons. A year ago, The Rock opened on the road at Shepherd University, winning by a 73-57 margin.

• In addition to Atkins and Donza, Endya Robinson and Kaylin Venick have started both of The Rock's games this season as well.

• Robinson and Venick have produced matching stat lines early on of 4.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game with Venick also tallying two steals so far and Robinson being tied for the team lead in total assists with three.
