YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Slippery Rock University women's indoor track and field team recorded 11 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference automatic qualifying marks and 26 top-15 finishes this weekend at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational hosted by Youngstown State University.

The Rock picked up a total of four PSAC automatic qualifying marks in the throwing events, headlined by
Trinity Clark placing fourth in the shot put with a career-best toss of 13.20 meters.
Sarah Corrie followed in seventh at 12.48 meters and
Jena Reinheimer was eighth at 12.35 meters. Reinheimer also took third in the weight throw with a PSAC mark of 15.91 meters.

Jamie Macecevic continued her upward trajectory in the pole vault with another career-best, this time clearing 3.67 meters to take second in the seeded section of the event. Her mark was just shy of the NCAA provisional standard of 3.69 meters.
Grace Parrett also picked up a PSAC automatic mark by winning the unseeded section of the pole vault with a clearance of 3.35 meters.

Cecily Greggs took fourth in the seeded section of the high jump with a PSAC mark of 1.59 meters and
Aleks Brozeski finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.96 meters to cap the top performances in the field events.

Morgan Donatelli led the way on the track with a runner-up showing in the 400-meter dash in a PSAC automatic qualifying time of 57.45 seconds. She also took ninth in the 200-meter dash in 26.07 seconds and ran the lead leg of the 4x400-meter relay that finished third. She teamed with
Allison Rennette,
Madison Olsen and
Rayna Stevenson to post a time of 4:02.02 in the relay. Stevenson also reached the PSAC standard in the 400-meter dash with a 10th place finish in 1:00.34.

Marianne Abdalah recorded a PSAC mark in the mile with a sixth place finish in 5:11.39, marking the third distance event she has reached the PSAC standard in this winter. The Rock's distance runners also recorded a sixth place showing in the distance medley relay, where Rennette,
Lexie Firment,
Madison Murtland and
Anna Igims combined to post a time of 13:07.12.

The final PSAC mark of the weekend came from
Samantha Gilbert, who took sixth in the 60-meter dash in 7.94 seconds. Gilbert was also 10th in the long jump with a leap of 5.23 meters.

SRU placed three athletes in the top-15 of the pentathlon with
Dani MacBeth leading the way in sixth place with 2,834 points.
Lorna Speigle was eighth with 2,755 points and
Alison Lamoreaux was 13th at 2,316 points.

Other top-15 showings this weekend for SRU included
Emma Fox in 15th in the 60-meter hurdles (9.71 seconds),
Olivia Kerstetter in 12th place in the long jump (5.17 meters),
Olivia Sentle in seventh place in the seeded section of the pole vault (3.22 meters) and
Tiffany Jolayemi in 15th place in the weight throw (13.49 meters).

Slippery Rock will take next weekend off before returning to competition Feb. 11-12 at a pair of two-day meets. Most of the team will travel to Kent State, while a few select distance runners are scheduled to travel to Grand Valley State.
