YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Slippery Rock University women's indoor track and field team recorded eight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference automatic qualifying marks, two event wins and 25 top-15 finishes at the YSU Collegiate Invitational Friday at Youngstown State University.
 
Jamie Macecevic won the unseeded section of the pole vault with an indoor career-best of 3.52 meters to headline the individual efforts Friday, while The Rock's 4x400-meter relay of Morgan Donatelli, Rachel Veneziano, Lorna Speigle and Allison Rennette picked up a win in a time of 4:04.92 to lead the way on the track.
 
Cecily Greggs had one of the top individual performance on the day for SRU, taking second in the seeded section of the high jump with a clearance of 1.65 meters, just below her season-best of 1.68 meters.
 
Donatelli recorded a pair of top 10 finishes individually to go with her relay performance. She took second in the 400-meter dash in a PSAC auto time of 58.40 seconds and was 10th in the 200-meter dash in 26.35 seconds. Rayna Stevenson was 11th in the 400m (1:00.68) and 13th in the 200m (26.50).
 
Jena Reinheimer recorded a pair of PSAC automatic qualifying marks with a fourth place finish in the weight throw (16.05 meters) and an 11th place showing in the shot put (11.81 meters). She followed Trinity Clark in the shot put, as Clark took sixth with a toss of 12.85 meters.
 
Marianne Abdalah cruised to a PSAC automatic mark in the 3,000-meter run with an eighth place finish in 10:23.20.
 
The final PSAC auto mark on the day came from Kendall Grossman, who cleared 3.35 meters to place seventh in the seeded section of the pole vault.
 
The Rock also recorded top-10 showings on the day in the 60-meter dash (Samantha Gilbert – 10th – 8.01 seconds), 5,000-meter run (Marie Scarpa – 7th – 19:43, Katie Plassio – 8th – 19:46, Morgan Dennison – 10th – 20:19) and triple jump (Ashanti Richardson – 10th – 10.65 meters).

Slippery Rock will return to action at Youngstown State again next weekend at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational Friday and Saturday.
