QUICK HITS

• Wednesday's game is the first of six crossover contests for Slippery Rock this year against PSAC East teams. All crossover games count in divisional standings. The Rock also plays crossover games against Bloomsburg, Kutztown, Mansfield, Millersville and West Chester.

• After this week's games, Slippery Rock will begin a four-game PSAC crossover stretch traveling to Mansfield (Dec. 3) then Bloomsburg (Dec. 4) before returning home to host Kutztown (Dec. 18) and West Chester (Dec. 19).

SOLID SEASON START
Slippery Rock's 3-1 start to the season is its best opening since 2016-17 when it started with an identical 3-1 mark. A win over ESU would be the first 4-1 start to the season since 2015-16. If The Rock were to go 2-0 for the week a 5-1 record would post their best opening six-game performance in over a decade dating back to 1999-00.

CROSSOVER SUCCESS
Slippery Rock is 19-14 (.576) against PSAC East teams over the last seven seasons under head coach Bobby McGraw. Additionally, SRU is 10-7 (.588) against the Eastern Division in contests held at Morrow Field House.

Johnson followed up a 26-point, 19-rebound showing in SRU's win against Ursuline by going for 24 points, 21 rebounds and two blocks in Slippery Rock's road victory at Malone.

Ranking second in the nation in rebounds and double-doubles, Johnson has averaged 20.8 points and a conference high of 17.3 rebounds per game through the first four contests this season while shooting a PSAC lead of 69.6 percent from the field.

On the year, Johnson has accounted for the three top single-game rebounding performances in the PSAC. Her 21 rebounds against Malone matched the third highest single-game rebounding performance in program history.

SHINNING SENIORS
Accompanying Johnson as one of The Rock's leading scorers is senior guard Daeja Quick. Through four games Quick has posted per game averages 15.5 points, 4.8 assists and 2.3 steals. Quick has shot an even and extremely efficient 50 percent (26-of-52) from the field.

Having started all four games this season, Quick has played all but eight minutes of a possible 160 and ranks 24th in program history for minutes played in a career at 1,752.
