SERIES HISTORY

LAST MEETING
Slippery Rock held a one-goal advantage over the Raiders, which were ranked fifth in the country at the time, heading into the fourth quarter before Shippensburg scored twice in the final 13 minutes to salvage a 3-2 win at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium on Nov. 1, 2019. Jessie Trube and Lauren Marks scored goals for SRU in the loss.

LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock closed out the home portion of its 2021 schedule in impressive fashion with a 7-0 shutout of Seton Hill University Wednesday at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

PSAC TOURNAMENT HOPES
Slippery Rock's hopes of earning a PSAC Tournament berth is centered around defeating Shippensburg as a loss to the Raiders would eliminate SRU from tournament contention regardless of other results throughout the league Saturday. If The Rock defeats Shippensburg they would still need some help to get into the postseason in the form of a Kutztown victory over IUP.

HEISTAND SEVENTH IN ALL OF NCAA IN 2021 FOR FIRST-YEAR WINS
SRU head coach Rayell Heistand ranks seventh in the NCAA, regardless of division (I, II, III), among all coaches in their first official seasons of competition this year in wins with seven.

Additionally, the seven victories also represent the second most by a coach in their first season in Slippery Rock history behind only Tricia Sterling, who won eight games in her first year at The Rock in 1998.

ANOTHER OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION
Slippery Rock's seven goals against Seton Hill on Wednesday was tied for the seventh most goals scored in a game in program history.

TRUBE CLOSING STRONG
Jessie Trube is having a strong finish to what has been an outstanding career as the senior has scored goals in each of the last three games, and four of the past five contests overall, to head into the Shippensburg game with team-highs of 20 points, 10 goals and 30 shots on goal this season.

A goal against Shippensburg would give Trube goals in four consecutive games, something no one has done in documented program history. Trube currently ranks sixth in program history for points in a career with 48 as well as fifth in total goals at 23.

MARKS WITH ANOTHER GAME TO REMEMBER
Fellow senior Lauren Marks continued her offensive onslaught against Seton Hill with a pair of goals. The two-goal game marked the third multi-goal game of her career. The two-goal game comes on the heels of scoring the game-winning goal against Bloomsburg.

In 12 games this season, Marks ranks second on the team in goals scored with five.

A GAME OF FIRSTS
Rock veterans Holly Stiller and Kayla Del Vecchio posted their first career goals in the Seton Hill win. Stiller, a senior, scored two goals against Seton Hill marking the first goals of her career at The Rock (38 games) while Del Vecchio also notched her first collegiate goal.

On the year, Stiller has tallied seven points on two goals and three assists. Del Vecchio has amassed five points on one goal and three assists as well. Both players have started all 15 games.

ISNER CONTINUES BREAKOUT YEAR
Jordyn Isner continued what has been a breakout year for the junior as she scored her third goal of the season in the win vs. Seton Hill. Isner heads into her 16th game of the year with 12 points on three goals and six assists.

IRVING WITH A PAIR OF ASSISTS
Freshman Nadia Irving, who has started all 15 games this season, set up a pair of goals for The Rock against Seton Hill. In her first season at The Rock, Irving has done a little bit of everything as a midfielder with five points on one goal and three assists in addition to one defensive save.

METCALF GETS ON THE BOARD
Haley Metcalf, a freshman reserve who has appeared in all 15 games this season, recorded the first point of college career when she assisted on Stiller's second goal against Seton Hill.

A WELL-BALANCED ATTACK
As the season comes to a close 13 of 16 non-goalies who have appeared in a game this season for SRU has recorded at least one point.

In addition to the aforementioned athletes' season totals a multitude of players have contributed to The Rock's attack this season in Katelyn Sparks (4 goals), Leslie Colliver (3 goals, 2 assists), Samantha Karmonick (2 goals, 3 assists), Bailee Christman (2 goals, 2 assists), Erin Roland (2 goals, 1 assist) and Addy Ross (1 goal).

GOALIE WATCH
Grace Burker has started every game of her freshman season in 2021 while playing 829:35 of a possible 900 minutes overall. Through the first 15 games of her career, she has made 67 saves with a .663 save percentage and a 2.46 goals against average. Burker, who is tied with Amy Bricker (1991) for the most wins by a freshman goalkeeper in program history, ranks sixth in the PSAC in saves per game (4.47).

Senior backup Hannah Nurse has appeared in three games (70:25) this year and has yet to face a shot.

OFFENSE MAKING MARK IN RECORD BOOKS
Entering the regular-season finale Slippery Rock has scored 36 goals. The 36 goals already rank sixth in program history for goals in a single-season behind the 1975 (43), 1976 (41), 1988 (41), 1987 (39) and 2013 (38) SRU teams.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
• As one would expect from the top team in the nation, Shippensburg enters Saturday's game leading the nation in a variety of statistical categories including goals per game (5.6), goals against average (0.60) and scoring margin (+4.98).

• Shippensburg is led by three-time All-American and one-time National Player of the Year Jazmin Petrantonio, who has totaled 74 points this season on 33 goals and eight assists. A former All-American in her own right, Jenna Sluymer also has 49 points this year on 20 goals and nine assists.

• Defensively, Lindsay Tripodo has served as Shippensburg's goalkeeper for 782:07 of a possible 902:48 minutes this season. She has allowed eight goals and made 30 saves (.789) while compiling a 0.61 GAA.
