MOST WINS SINCE 2022
Regardless of the results of this week's games, Slippery Rock has already compiled the program's highest win total since 2022.
Â
If The Rock closes the year with a pair of wins the 2025 team would tie the 2021 and 2022 squads for the most wins in a single-season inside the program since 2017.
Â
FINISHING STRONG
Slippery Rock has won at least one of its final two games in four of the last five seasons of competition dating back to 2019.
Â
NO NIGHT'S OFF
According to finalwhistlefh.com, Slippery Rock will open the week ranked second in Division II in strength of schedule and 14th in RPI.
Â
Of The Rock's 10 losses this year, seven have come against nationally ranked teams. Wednesday's game marks The Rock's fourth consecutive contest against a team ranked in the top 10 of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association weekly poll. Â
Â
GETTING IT DONE AT HOME
A victory over IUP would give Slippery Rock a 5-4 record in games played at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. The five home victories would be tied for the second most by a Rock team since 2015.
Â
60 of The Rock's 95 wins (63.2 percent) over the last 12 years have come at the friendly confines of Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.
Â
WINS vs. NATIONALLY RANKED TEAMS
Since the 2010 season, Slippery Rock has won nine games against nationally ranked teams. The Rock's previous wins against nationally ranked teams include victories against Kutztown (2017 / No. 5), West Chester (2017 / No. 3), East Stroudsburg (2014 / No. 5), Bloomsburg (2013 / No. 7), Indiana (2011 / No. 6, 2010 / No. 7, 2010 / No. 8) and LIU Post (2010 / No. 5).
Â
WEDNESDAY W's
