The fifth-ranked Slippery Rock University field hockey team lost to No. 1 Shippensburg, 3-1, Saturday October 7th in PSAC play at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Of the two matchups against the Raiders during the 2017 season Ulrich scored a pair of goals.

SLIPPERY ROCK NOTES
• LAST TIME OUT: Slippery Rock defeated Seton Hill, 3-0, Wednesday Oct. 24th, behind goals from sophomore Kayla Ulrich, freshman Jessie Trube and freshman Emily Polakovsky.
 
• With Wednesday's goal, Ulrich now holds sole possession of sixth place at SRU all-time in career goals with 18. She has a team-high of seven scores this season.
• Ulrich's goal was also the third fastest goal to begin a game in program history.
 
• The Rock set a season-high in total shots against Seton Hill. Prior to Wednesday's 19 attempts, SRU's previous high in 2018 was 18 against both Belmont Abbey (Sept. 8) and American International (Sept. 3).
 
• Wednesday also marked the first time since 2012 that Slippery Rock went a whole game without allowing a penalty corner.
 
• Of the 25 Rock offensive players, 15 have scored one or more goals on the season.
 
• Ulrich leads the team in goals (seven) followed by Trube (four) and sophomore Abby McKay (three). McKay has already surpassed her goal total from her freshman year while Trube's four is fifth most by a freshman at SRU all-time.
 
• Polakovsky, freshman Lauren Marks, sophomore Courtney Page and senior Hannah Downing all have two goals on the season.
 
• Freshman Alayna Wagner and seniors Liz Wolfe, and Rachel Ivins round out The Rock's offense with one goal each in 2018.
 
• Seven players have each recoded two assists in Ulrich, Marks, Wolfe, Page, senior Hannah Simone, junior Kalie Reed and junior Brenna McGovern-Lind.
 
• Sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Murphy is 6-8 this season with a 1.54 goals against average and a .789 save percentage.

• Freshman Jenna Sluymer has also had a standout season with six goals, six assists and three game-winning goals.
 
• Goalkeeper Ally Mooney has played the majority of the season, holding a 10-3 record and a .740 save percentage. She has recorded 57 saves so far this season adding to her career total of 301.
