All-Time Series: West Chester leads Slippery Rock in the all-time series, 18-11-0
Last Played: Oct. 21, 2017 (The Golden Rams defeated SRU 1-0 in Slippery Rock)
Â
LAST MEETING
Slippery Rock fell to West Chester, 1-0, last year on Oct. 21, 2017. WCU scored a goal late in the second half in the 87th minute and held on for the win.
Â
SERIES HISTORY
West Chester leads the all-time series, 18-11-0. The Golden Rams have won the last two matches against Slippery Rock.
Â
PLAYOFF PICTURE
Only two teams have clinched PSAC Tournament berths including Gannon and West Chester. Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg are tied for third in the league standings with SU currently claiming the third seed and ESU claiming the fourth. Millersville has a four-point lead on Seton Hill and SRU in the fourth slot. If the season ended now, since The Rock and the Griffins tied earlier this year, Seton Hill would qualify for the PSAC Tournament due to goal differential in PSAC mandated matches, which is the second tiebreaker in determining tournament qualifiers. SRU's game at West Chester Saturday could prove to be huge for The Rock's chances to make the tournament. Seton Hill has one more PSAC game left at East Stroudsburg and SRU has two including WCU and Shippensburg.
